Just a quick note. We all slept too late, so our plans had to change. We went to Epcot, did Spaceship Earth, living with the Land, Soarin' I liked Soarin' much better this time. It's a zoo with way too many people. We didn't take any pictures, except our lunch at San Angel. The beef taco's were horrible, beef was tough as shoe leather, and over done. The waiter made us wait for a long time to get our food. The server was pretty surly. We we finished, we asked for the check. It came fast, then ,the wait.....when the server came back, after a really long time...he said they were having computer troubles. We paid, with a Disney card, which the server didn't return. They looked through the restaurant and couldn't find it. We went to Guest Relations, to get the card straightened out. We had to call the bank, and cancel the card. And be issued a new card with the money put back on. Disney offered nothing for their mess up. 3 hours later we came back home. Disney need's to work with the employee's at San Angel. Lousy food and service. We won't be going back. On the positive side, many employees were friendly and went out of their to make our time, so far pleasant. Over all, it is going well, except for this one experience at San Angel.

Sympathy like for the bad San Angel experience. We have never eaten there. Mostly because we have so many great Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food places here that we eat at often enough. But, also because I have read so many bad reviews. No doubt the atmosphere is great, but, I've also read that it's difficult to see your food with the dim lighting, and your packed in like sardines. :cyclops:
We have had tacos at La Hacienda a coupla' times and they were pretty good. Also love the little churros with caramel sauce for dessert (here we have sopapillas with butter and honey, which is even a bit better IMHO). :hungry:

Sympathy like. Will you have to deal with the kids who got into the luggage?

Yes, they have been ok. Since we are at his other sisters house we actually have a bedroom of our own, So a little privacy. We have been drafted into helping set up for the party though. The sister in law also wants to put me and hubby on toilet duty and picture taking duty. Toilets! I don't think so. She didn't even care to put up picture of hubby and I with her daughter, the grad, and I know there are some from Christmas times. So I am not taking care of her toilets and if she wants pictures she can take them herself. If hubby wants to help he can.

A funny thing, the sister in law was setting up vases of flowers on the table and the wind kept blowing them over spilling the water every time. I suggested not putting in water and just some nice rocks or marbles in the vase with the flowers. But she said no, there had to be water. More water spilled and guess what they are doing now, rocks in the vases with no water 40 minutes after I suggested it.

At least there is plenty of beer here.

I literally lol'ed at this statement.

The Wall Street Journal did a study this year on the most hated companies in the US. Guess which one made the top?

I swear they are run by Ferangi.

We switched to Fios years ago when it became available.
We are surrounded by towns serviced by WOW. Cheaper than Comcast. But, for whatever reason, we are only covered by ATT, and Comcast. ATT deals are all with a DISH. Not sure what happened to UVerse that they were putting in infrastructure for. So, I guess I feel like it is a case of pick your poison.

Oh, I didn't even touch on my MIL, who can't believe all of these girls give up their summer for this, and she can skip a week to hang out with Grandma in the north woods. She doesn't understand, that especially as an incoming freshman, who hasn't officially tried out yet, (it is treated as a sport, and has to be done with IHSA rules. Although, there is an awful lot of rule bending and skirting going on) yes, these girls do just that.

We pay for the Boost for internet. I don't like your plan.:( We stream already from Netflix and when the kids do schoolwork there is some streaming from online classes. Ipads get used a lot, and we stream stuff on the tv from Netflix or Youtube. And if we do the Hulu that will all be streamed. Unfortunately they are the only cable company where we live. Could do Dish or Direct TV but their internet stinks. We are between a rock and a hard place. Like I said I will try the Hulu and see how it goes.
Oh, I don't like it either. But Comcast stock holders do! We had no choice of joining their data "test", and I am sure it is going to be a thing very soon. For all of there customers nationwide. http://fortune.com/2016/10/07/comcast-internet-data-caps/

We switched to WOW from Time Warner and it's not only less expensive by a huge margin but it's also much much faster. And it doesn't go out randomly all the time like TWC did.

But the flip side is that the DVR is almost unmanageable. It's defaulted to thinking you want to record things into VHS tapes and you can't search for shows you want to record.

Sympathy like. DD is doing poms. So, right off the bat, the coaches say if you want to plan a summer vacation, do it during the 2 weeks of "no contact". Of course, first week of no contact is mandatory band camp. During that week the kids learn marching, the field formations for pregame and halftime, parade, and putting it all together with the music. Second week is incoming freshman orientation, I actually have a work meeting to gear up for the upcoming school year, and then she has her official audition for poms Thursday and Friday. And good bye summer.

And this is why I liked swimming. They were in the water at 5:45am and out at 8am. Young kids back in water at 5-6pm till age 10 (but wiggle room in attending 2nd practice) Meets on Saturday 8am-1130am Wed 6pm-930
Sundays off.

Um . . . so many things to comment on here . . . :in pain: But the one that wins the prize is someone volunteering you and hubs for "toilet duty" ??. That's a new one . . . Now, granted I haven't been to any sort of big relative get-together for probably 18 years at this point (and I don't miss those . . . one of the benefits of rellies spread out all over the country). But, even back then, the host or hostess never asked, or delegated, anyone to toilet duty. I'll just leave it at that. If I were you, I'd at least guzzle a lot of beer this weekend . . .

Is this the family with the horrid bed and the kids who went through your stuff? Do you have to stay there overnight?

Yes it is the same in-laws but a different house. The one with the horrid bed situation is where we go at Christmas. This time we are at hubs sister's house in Michigan. Since the graduation party is today and the actual graduation is tomorrow, and they live 10-11 hours from us there is not the luxury of going home and hubs didn't want to pay for a hotel. Luckily we have a regular bed here and have a bedroom, so there is privacy. Next time we go for Christmas to the one in Chicago we will stay in a hotel, or I'm not going.
