Just a quick hello. Since we got back home, it has been very stressful. Our cat is having some major issues with her kidney disease. I took her to the vet today because she stopped eating yesterday. She just didn't look good. She has severe dehydration. The vet gave her the iv fluids in the office so we could come home. So, we are trying to pump her full of water and food like tuna. Heck with that kidney food. We just want her to survive, and it is not helping her if she doesn't eat it. When we got back, I got her to eat just plain old tuna. She lapped it up! So, please, send pixie dust our way. If she doesn't get better somewhat by Friday, we have to decide the next step. Thanks for letting me rant! Had to get my frustration out. I am not good company right now so I will be out for a while until things settle down. Thanks guys!
I'm so sorry for your kitty, I hope that your decision is clear to you, it's so hard when a pet's health is failing. I will pray for you and your kitty.

It was a different day today. There is a fire, 2,000 acres east of us at Saratoga. We got up and could smell the smoke, it was pretty awful the first few hours today. We were all to tired to do anything, breathing took out our energy. The TV was out due to a lightening strike. We had breakfast at Artist Pallet, the order they delivered was wrong. I spoke too soon about the service there. Oh well, just another reason to keep trying new places. We did just a few rides and headed back. None of us had any energy. I hope tomorrow will be better. Only 7 pics today...

I have a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. It sent me to the ER about 18 months ago, because the pain was almost constant. The pain slowly subsided, and went away for a very long time. Now, it is sporadic. I am one of the lucky ones, because my pain is not constant. However, it has been waking me up at night lately. I must be doing something, in my sleep to aggravated the nerves on the right side of my face. I am just grateful that I don't have this as badly as some others. I have read about those who are in constant pain, and taking loads of pain meds, and getting no relief. I have not needed medication. I just grin and bear it, as the pains come and go.

Life throws us a lot of curve balls that we have to deal with, and it's so easy to complain. Then we/I hear/read/see what other people have to deal with, and I thank my lucky stars.

Happy Mother's Day. I became a mom in 1967, and 1971, and a granny in 1993. I lost my mom in 2008. Never knew my grandmothers at all, and so it's nice to have my only grandchild Sean close by in my attic. Even if he has way too many pets and friends up there with him.

Enjoy your day.

Yep, that's something I remember learning at a very young age...no matter how bad you think your life may be at times, there are millions that have it way worse.

A big thank you to you both. I just touched down in Seattle, so the trip is still happening. My grandma did break her hip, and will have to go into surgery tomorrow. She lives alone, but most of the family lives within a mile of her (my aunt actually lives on the same street). I'm just worried that this happened because she was trying to feed my dog or something.
I think the biggest thing with recovery from such an incident when you are older is getting up and using your joints once healed. She will need loads of physical therapy and a ton of familial support. Lucky for her it sounds like you have a close family. Try and enjoy your trip.

What a sad thing to come home to. Best wishes.

Wow! Wish I could send down our rain. Hope you have a better day tomorrow and that the fire gets contained.
