Just a quick hello. Since we got back home, it has been very stressful. Our cat is having some major issues with her kidney disease. I took her to the vet today because she stopped eating yesterday. She just didn't look good. She has severe dehydration. The vet gave her the iv fluids in the office so we could come home. So, we are trying to pump her full of water and food like tuna. Heck with that kidney food. We just want her to survive, and it is not helping her if she doesn't eat it. When we got back, I got her to eat just plain old tuna. She lapped it up! So, please, send pixie dust our way. If she doesn't get better somewhat by Friday, we have to decide the next step. Thanks for letting me rant! Had to get my frustration out. I am not good company right now so I will be out for a while until things settle down. Thanks guys!
Poor Chloe:( I hope she recovers soon. Prayers and pixie dust for your family xoxo

I have not seen a blackberry sold here in years with the exception of burner phones. $25 loaded with minutes and some text messages. They are not supported or updated as they were long ago. Smart phones kinda made them less desirable here anyhow.
Yeah, my coworker had one a long time ago and she gave it to her son so he can contact her if he needs her, but he can't really do anything else on it. He's young, so she didn't want him to be able to connect to internet or anything. Just contact her.

It was a different day today. There is a fire, 2,000 acres east of us at Saratoga. We got up and could smell the smoke, it was pretty awful the first few hours today. We were all to tired to do anything, breathing took out our energy. The TV was out due to a lightening strike. We had breakfast at Artist Pallet, the order they delivered was wrong. I spoke too soon about the service there. Oh well, just another reason to keep trying new places. We did just a few rides and headed back. None of us had any energy. I hope tomorrow will be better. Only 7 pics today...

Gee I'm so sorry especially with you being so sensitive to smoke. I hope you didn't need your inhaler.

I don't want to agree with that post. I'd rather live in denial. I love the Muppets. The preshow is also beyond awesome.

The last movie was just a flop with the generations you mentioned overall. It was intended to fix what you stated. Now back to my total denial of the writing on the wall.

Yes. You support my theory with this stuff. Problem when they can't think outside the box
Yes, it's sad when teachers are so stuck in their mindset. The crazy thing is DD had 2 teachers. I don't know why, but they usually have 2 teachers per class...one works Monday to Wed. and the other Thursday and Friday. It makes no sense to me. But the one teacher didn't understand why DD's first scores were so low. She didn't see an issue with the vocabulary and she didn't think the score was consistent with what she knew of DD. The OTHER teacher was new to the school that year and I think she was prejudiced because I'm American. I think she was looking for problems because I was the only foreign parent. I think she saw what she wanted to see...there was a kid whose mom spoke English, so she expected her to have problems with Dutch. She talked to me like I was a 5 year old...drove me nuts. I'm foreign, not stupid. But with a small school where all the other kids and their parents are native Dutch speakers, my kids were bound to be singled out, I guess. Now at this school, it's seen as a good thing, but my kids are both performing well above average, too, so they can't pretend there's a problem even if they wanted to. Funny story about DD, though...in preschool, she had only been going for a few weeks when the teachers asked me if I ever spoke Dutch to her. I said I tried not to, because I wanted her to recognize Dutch and English as 2 separate languages, so it was important for me to speak English and for daddy to speak Dutch. She told me I needed to start speaking Dutch to her because she wasn't understanding Dutch and only responded to them if they spoke English to her. So if they said "Get your chair and put it in the circle." she'd only do it if they said it in English. I said that was strange because at that time, while DD understood me if I told her to do something in English, she only responded back to me in Dutch when she spoke. And my in-laws babysat her every Friday and had never had a problem...she heard Dutch from everyone except me. So I asked my in-laws if they had ever noticed that...nope...she spoke Dutch to them and listened well. So I went back the next week and told them what my in-laws had said and they were so puzzled..so I just asked DD in front of them if she was pulling their legs and pretending she couldn't speak Dutch. (she was 2.5 years old) She giggled and nodded and never did it again from that day. They still remember that, too. I was in choir with the one teacher and she still laughs about that. Little stinker!

*Special Alert* - will pay someone to get me a job.

My 45 minute commute home turned into an hour and 35 minutes. Including going a little over a mile in an HOUR. They started construction on the bridge to get onto the island. Going to be like this on and off for 10 YEARS. Not like they don't do construction everyday anyway on the bridge.

Our taxes are obviously not going towards anything good.

Sooo...what is windows 10 doing now? I got a cryptic notice of an update coming.

I don't know anything about Windows 10, but I laughed when I read your comment. The reason is that any time there is an "update" at work (and they're constantly updating things), we all cringe--because something else in the system always gets messed up--that worked perfectly well prior to any new "update"!!!

When we get the morning notice about an update, we'll all like this:

Well, at least it's keeping the bridge guys in steady employment for the past 10 years?!

My sympathy to you--commuting is also the bane of my existence all week, too. I cringe when I think about all the hours of my life I've wasted, just commuting to and from work. Yikes. :jawdrop:

I'd rather commute to Boston than deal with tourists. Yesterday was the second day and it's supposed to go to the end of June. Nightmare tourist traffic. Newport is not even worth it.
