*waves Hi!*

Wow! Neither of my SIL would do that for us. Lucky Duck. :inlove:
Yes, I am lucky. We planted lettuce and broccoli today. The zucchini, snap peas, and cucumber seeds she planted have all sprouted. :) The tomato plants have teeny tomatoes too. :inlove: Now only if we could get some sun. She said the only sun she saw was the day we left and last night. Cloudy again today with rain on its way. :(

Come over here!! We need some rain! It's been in the 90s all week. It finally cooled down a bit today and was only in the 80s, but it's supposed to heat back up starting tomorrow.

We have had loads of rain this month. Our little home weather station says we received 6.71 inches of rain this month so far. Expected more today and tomorrow. I would gladly send you some rain.

Yeah, that's what I don't understand. Every kid is different...how can you put an age on something like that? There's no magic age at which it is now possible for a child to learn to read. And there is no age at which you can say "OK, now it's too late." You're ready when you're ready and for some kids that could be 3 and for others it could be 7. You meet the kid where they are. And really, they didn't keep her from learning to read until they were ready to teach it...she learned on her own anyway. So what good did it do to deny her the support and help? How did that make a difference? With DS, it was kind of funny, because his sister had already paved the way. He got into first grade and the first day, the teacher put up words on the board and asked the kids to find a particular sound....like "where is the ahhhh sound? Beginning, middle, or end of the word" and DS raised his hand and read the whole word. So then, for the next section, she asked him to read the instructions and he did. So they immediately put him into the advanced group. They were expecting it because of DD...he had the same teachers. So it worked out well for him.
I didn't like the hall thing either, but they told me she's the one who asked to go to the hall because it was too noisy in the classroom and she got distracted. Ok...but couldn't another option be found? Now she goes to the hall for Spanish while the other kids have their English lesson. They wanted her to have something to do while the other kids learn English, but she has no teacher and doesn't get to bring anything home. She has a CD and a book to follow along in...she doesn't get grades, there's no one to correct her if she makes a mistake...it's basically busy work, because she already speaks fluent English and they didn't know what to do with her. If she could bring it home, I could help her. I had Spanish for a year in junior high, and while I don't remember much, I at least know how to pronounce things and I still know some of the basics, plus I have 2 friends here from Mexico for anything I DON'T know. But she doesn't get anything to bring home...it's JUST so she has something to do for that block of time. So they send her to the hallway with a cd player.
I spent a lot of time sitting in the coat rack, in the hallway. Not much fun. I did learn to keep my mouth shut, after the first painful year. Today, not so much....I still can't keep my chopper's closed.

So I saw a quiz today. It was if you were a critter who resided freely at
Walt Disney World what critter would you be?

I'm sorry to hear that because MM was one of our favorite meals last trip. Guess that's another one I'll have to keep my eyes on the reviews:(
We just seem to be having bad luck at Disney sit downs. We love the Planetarium. Going back on our anniversary. Blaze pizza was really good too (but really busy). Artist Pallet at Saratoga has been good and reliable as far as food. Fast food has been good too. But, as I said we like pretty standard food. Today at the lunching pad, it was crazy. We stood in line for 20minutes, and were told to go to the next line. We all did. No one ever showed up. The next person came along inside the restaurant and said move back. After another 15 minute wait, we left...I won't be getting my pretzel, this trip.
