I couldn't make it to the event this morning. :( There was some yard work that I was gonna' save 'til later, but, we have storms predicted for this afternoon, so I needed to take care of it this morning. I don't mind yard work so much, but, I would have much rather helped out with the event. :bored:

We have yard work to do too, but neither one of us wants to do it. Want to come over?! I'll pay in beer and hubs is going to grill hamburgers tonight. ;)

My DS 13 wants to be an Imagineer one day. He even wrote one a letter 2 years ago to find out how to become one. Sad thing is he never got a reply back. :(

DD15 has a flair for everything and that is the problem. It is hard for her to focus on one thing.

Disney University, hmmm, love that! That is something to remember. Putting that in the memory banks.:)

It's kinda' cool that I feel like an Imagineer every day at my job, but, unfortunately, just not for Disney...!!! :( ;) :)

I read all the time in the car. Lots of trips Ohio-Texas-Ohio when I was a younger. We had a station wagon when I was little that had two bench seats in the back that would fold up from the floor and we could face each other. We also had a little black and white tv that we'd lay down and watch while on the road. Of course this was all before seatbelt laws.

As a kiddo, I remember riding in the car with no seat belts on ever, although lap belts were in our one car we had at the time. The car seat my youngest brother rode in was nothing more than a cheap, aluminum-framed, vinyl coverd foam thing that hooked behind the back seat cushion.
I remember riding in the beds of pickups all the time, too.
I took it all much more seriously after Drivers Ed class in HS, and watching all those graphic "Blood on the Highway" films they showed us.
Although there are some wrecks that happen where nothing could save ya', I haven't not strapped on a seatbelt since. :cyclops:
