I grew up in a house with an outspoken lawyer. Feelings are something we don't talk about (except with Mom) and if you're offended, too bad. :cautious:

Yep. I didn't grow up in a house with an outspoken lawyer, but, both my folks grew up hardscrabble on country farms. You may have read many of my posts regarding such here over the years. ;)
Pop still remains very stoic, but, he has his moments. Mom, on the other hand, is much more outwardly expressive. But, neither are thin-skinned, and none of us kiddos are either.
Throw it all at me...I can take it...!!!

I opened Google maps on my phone to this...

All the streets are in Spanish, and then there's Ms. Pacman hanging out there. So I clicked on Ms. Pacman...

Very funny, Google.

Happy April 1. :hilarious:
I wonder if the base background changes depending on your country..

*edit*

Definitely. Although I think it's a natural thing in my family. I've had to learn how to talk about my feelings and to tell people when something is wrong. It's good to some degree, though, because I just go with the flow. Serves me well in the workplace.

We call my father Mr. Vulcan. :joyfull:

Hahaaa...!!! :hilarious:
Yep, roll with the punches, 'cause their gonna' come like a freight train, wether you like it or not. ;)

My driver's ed was more practical:joyfull: no blood on the highway films, but picture a middle aged chunky gym teacher trying to teach S ed with WW2 era social disease films:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
I probably saw the same films. Blech! There was an anti-drug film too that starred Scott Baio. See that one?

I haven't not strapped on a seatbelt since. :cyclops:
Ahhh..The old double negative!;)

Hope you guys had a good Friday. I got some clothes that I ordered today in the mail so after I tried them on I had to return some. So hubs and I did that and had a nice meal at the Olive Garden. Sorry no pictures. We hadn't been there in over a year, and it was crazy busy but we got a spot in the bar area. The food was exactly what I had a craving for. We both had the Tour of Italy with chicken parm, alfredo, and lasagna. The alfredo was super creamy. We didn't end up finishing it all so leftovers tomorrow! :hungry: Eating out made grocery shopping cheaper too! We were just too full to think any of the food looked good, so we stuck to the list. :)

Hahaaa...!!! :hilarious: to that last part...that's the ticket ...!!!!! :joyfull:
And yep, we have have a local Italian place 5 mins. from the house that is family owned and they are originally from NY, but, we still love us some Olive Garden, too...!!!!! :hungry:

I think it's good to have a Mr. Vulcan in life, as it "prepares" you for the world later on. Luckily, i had a mixture of personalities in my family growing up. So I was exposed to both ends of the personality spectrum. I realized years later as an adult, that I was fortunate.

Yep, same here. Especially with the tapestry of all our relatives. So many good times and so many different personalities, but, ultimately, respect. And, exactly as you said, fortunate..!!!
