Hey Figgy, did you see these dresses? They're almost as good as what you can sew.

I saw these. I have dibs on the Green one.

I let the boys sleep in a bit they're out shoveling again and our side road still hasn't been touched, does not bode well for school the rest of the week, a friend of mine at the other end of the district says not even the "main" roads over there haven't been touched:mad::mad::mad::mad: Right now they're mostly working on roads with numbers surprised my one road is sort of done.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I always followed the rules i.e., don't poke a sleeping bear, don't wake a sleeping baby, never wake a sleeping Mother...

th

The longer they slept the less they were underfoot on those unexpected housebound days. They had to also be up early even in the summer for swim team, (like the other 3 seasons wasn't torture enough) so at 5AM if it was raining or too cold during the summer-since summer meant outdoor club, it could be 10AM or later by the time they woke on their own.

Well, @MinnieM123, I hope you are happy. We have to call out the National Guard now, but, I promise we will rebuild and be better then before. The challenge is to remove the 1/4 inch of snow that is leaving our suffering little blades of grass shivering and sticking out through the white underbelly of disaster. The trees, tender little buds that just a day ago where joyously getting ready to blossom into leaves are now huddling together trying to protect themselves from that evil white stuff. The saddest thing is that those blades of grass just got a new cut last Wednesday so that they could look good for Daylight Savings time and the Spring Solstice due here next week. All that may just be ruined unless the thaw occurs really soon (starting at noon). I'm sure that the stores will have a run on not only bread and milk, but, winter hats, parkas, thermal underwear, woolen mittens and frostbite cream. This is serious.

Yet another reason why "North" Carolina still isn't south enough. ;)

O.k. @ajrwdwgirl , @MySmallWorldof4 , and @donaldtoo , don't forget about topographical maps, too! Those intrigue me, learning about elevations and landforms. :geek: :geek: (They're particularly handy if you're thinking about hiking in a new area that you've never been to before.) :cat:

OK @ajrwdwgirl @MySmallWorldof4 @donaldtoo @MinnieM123

This is my favorite map. I bought it at Barnes & Noble. It folds just like a road map (B&N actually has all sorts of maps) This one was meant for me as it is also laminated. Love it! :inlove: Oddly, they left off a resort.

Around here with that much snow the announcement would be school for the remainder of March is a no go. Actually, I might have welcomed a storm like that today as I have a fun for all involved Colonoscopy tomorrow morning. However, I have already done all of the fasting and half the go-go juice, I might as well get it over with tomorrow.

If that were to happen to me, I'm afraid that custodial would have to be called in to clean up the remains of what used to be a seagull. "Yea, ya ain't gotta worry bout seein him no more".:angelic::in pain:

Hope that all went well and you are well.

I'm not. I'm asking "Dude where's my car?" All I see is a giant snow bank in the driveway, I think there was a car underneath it:hilarious:. Hibernating is an understatement BTW I can't even see my other driveway:eek::eek::eek:

It was messy here but the December storms were far worse. We and I mean my little Hamlet didn't get what was predicted for us. Maybe 9 inches??? Day one kinda skirted us and only a few inches of fluff. Day two we came out better than I thought we would have, we were right on the edge of some very heavy stuff. This was the snowball packing, crunch under your feet snow. Though 9 inches is nothing to sneeze at we escaped what was predicted.

I put down dirt where the pipe broke. Well I hired the boy 2 doors down to do that. Put grass seed down and hired the boy to put another layer of dirt down. He even took it out of my truck and graded it so nicely. Now there is a nice layer of snow ontop. So hopefully when the weather warms next week a tiny bit the grass will start growing. I was so sick of looking at that big clay mound with tree roots on my parkway. Called in a favor from public works, they sent a
Bob Cat out to level it so I didn't have to wait till Spring/Summer. Upside I don't even have to see the dirt cause it is covered in snow. Only bonus to the white fluff.

Snowpocolypse coming to NYC tomorrow.

Good news. My office is closed! Hurray!

Bad news. My refrigerator feels that I am very unprepared for this snowmaggedon and wonders why I spend all my money on Disney when I could spend it on milk and bread.

However, my counter is feeling very well prepared for the storm and has told my fridge to go to hell.

Ha ha. Kidding, sort of.

Phil and I went to wine country this past weekend, and that's our haul. Unfortunately, it is all at Phil's house right now. GRRRRRRRRR.

Sir, ya need to learn to stash a few. Did you at least make it out to Phil's to ride out the storm with the wine? er um I mean ride out the storm with Phil?

Well, tray restaurants are "Buffets" now, dont they?

Kinda sorta only. Buffets are generally priced at all you can eat $$$. Tray Cafeteria you do pick out also what you want, you actually get a tray so you can carry more (buffets don't want you to do that) and you pay for only what you put on your tray. Depends on if you like gorging out or simple pickings. Sunshine Seasons in the Land is a good example of a tray Cafeteria as are some of the QS at Disney Resorts. Sunshine is one of my favorite Cafeterias.
When I first went to Epcot, Canada was a Cafeteria called LeCellier. Didn't go over well.
