Maybe you'll get a snow day:joyfull:

That's not exactly an option for hospital workers. For those of us working in offices (not out in the medical units), we can take our own vacation time--if the supervisor has let us leave early. Sometimes, the supervisors will override the system and pay us, if we leave early. But if any workers, regardless of job title, do not come in at all, they either have to use their vacation time for the whole day, or they get docked.

Sympathy like. What happens if public transport gets shut down?

Getting shipped from there to someplace unpleasant for his then job. He also hates the panhandle area of Florida.
I can understand not wanting to live there, but perfect, sunny, 80 degree weather with zero humidity and zero rain chance in the summer plus gorgeous beaches and lots of theme parks...yeah, sounds like a real drag for a vacation. ;)

I don't think I'll ever get him on a cruise either:(
For DL at least, once you're in the bubble, it's very much like being in any other Disney bubble, the difference being that you can walk across the street to get to the bubble from your offsite hotel. It's actually much more pleasant weather wise in the summer than FL. No worrying about afternoon thunderstorms, no excessive heat, in the shade, it actually feels cooler. Like I said, I'll have to post some photos to entice. ;)

I'm hoping if I'm over prepared the snow will pass us by. I have 5 stacks of movies ready to go in order Star Wars, Star Trek, Pixar, Disney and Harry Potter, a large container of popcorn ready to be popped, flashlights with new batteries, camp stove(full), kerosene heater full and tested, a freezer with enough cooked food to last a week and all our charge packs, hand held video games and such are all charged up an mount laundry is conquered. The large blowers are also set up and pointed towards @MinnieM123.:D Mother nature should just give up on me and head for her:cool:

Thanks!
I've been fascinated by the Contemporary since I was a child, so that would be my first one on the list...! :)
Followed closely by the Poly, then the GF.
The only one that I have ever been fascinated with was the Contemporary. When I caught sight of it on my original visit in '83, I said I wanted to stay there. Amazingly, that trip was a time when it was most doable, cost wise. But, at the time, off site was much cheaper and I was much more broke! I always said that one day I would stay at the Contemporary, but, with todays prices, I would not be able to enjoy it even if I had all the money in the world.

I guess that if at some point I get diagnosed with only a couple of months to live, and I still have the money, I might spring for it. Otherwise, it will remain a bucket list item that will never be crossed off.

Oh, it's so much more pleasant out there than Florida. No risk of getting stuck in a downpour, you don't feel the need to go on something indoors just to get out of the heat, and you can walk around the parks without being afraid of having a heat stroke. If I can only go to one or the other this summer, I'm thinking DL if possible so that I DON'T have to deal with Florida weather in the summer.
