I love the Nutcracker too, and I have a nutcracker collection as well. I thought mine was big at 48 nutcrackers! But 500, WOW! Do you leave them up all year or just bring them out at Christmas?
Year round. I have built in wall shelving in a corner of my family room and they've found a home there. I have a 3' and a 4 1/2' ones from Bronners. Every year I get them for Christmas and my birthday. I also pick them up when I see them at our local flea market and rummage sales.

Hello again guys, it's me again. It's currently 7:33pm, and I'm about to get my first roommate for my hospital visit. This guy is named Tony and is currently 82 years old. I was having a nice conversation with his wife named "Kathy" who is currently 68. She had an interesting story about her husband however I don't want to explain to much in order to keep his privacy. But he has Dementia,Alzheimer's, and is also blind. His wife shared a story about him something banging on a wall or a door that causes him to bleed easily. I will be hanging out with this man for a few days. I'm also feeling a bit better after having the IV put in me.

Hello again everybody, as I'm currently typing this I'm currently back in the hospital (A different Hospital this time) this time it might have to do with me passing out three times this morning. So far I like this hospital a lot more than the previous one from last March. I will give you more updated about this later today. I will be at the hospital for a few days but I'm more braver this time.
Feel better my friend! I was in the hospital for a minor surgery procedure on Friday and I cried like a baby about the IV being put in, not the actual procedure, so I'm sure you're much more braver than me!

Sometimes the IV can be the the worst part. I have had difficult times with that, and one time it had to be put in on the top of my hand. Boy that hurt!

I hope your surgical procedure went well.

Mine was on the top of my hand. The hospital had this little scanner with uv light that showed the blood vessels in your skin. That was the first time I ever saw something like it. The procedure was quick and I just have to take it easy for a few days.

You would love California. Your boys would love Carsland, the Indiana Jones ride...Space Mountain currently has an awesome Star Wars overlay, plus they have a ton of dark rides out there, like Monster's Inc, Pinnochio, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Rodger Rabbit...tons to do. If I can take a vacation this summer, I'm actually thinking maybe going on the DL trip with my parents and then just a long weekend in WDW...long enough to swim in Stormalong Bay, see the new AK stuff, and hop on TofT. Then I would go back to WDW with them in the winter.

The setup of DL is more like Uni, from what I understand. The parks are less than a football field away from one another, and DTD is right there next to the parks. There's plenty of good neighbor hotels that are super close. As in, walk across the street and you're there. There's also more rides in each park than the WDW parks.

Uni out there, from what I understand, isn't as good as Orlando, but it's an actual working studio, which is neat, and they still have Harry Potter World there. You could probably make a day out of it. There's also other parks out there, too, plus beaches.
Uni in Hollywood is actually a movie studio with many of the same attractions as Orlando, but, much more authentic feeling. Just the two level concept is worth the trip. One level is hundreds of feet above the other. You get there and back on massive escalators and the back stage tram ride is actually back stage. You go by buildings on the tram screen showing you what movies they were in and what adjustments were made to them at the time. Very, very interesting and also worthy of a visit just to see that.

Weather was calm--sun was out, no ice, no nothing. After the bus trek home, I put on the dishwasher (we only run it once a week, because it's just hubs and me--we don't use a lot of dishes). However, since it wasn't Saturday, hubs had to ask me why I put on the dishwasher on a Friday afternoon o_O (routine, you know . . . ;) ).

So, I told him that since I had a few hours of freedom, I'd start one of the weekend chores now and get it out of the way. He told me I wasn't supposed to do that on my time off--I should go do something fun. But since I'm boring and practical, I was ecstatic about knocking out one of my weekend chores on a Friday afternoon! :joyfull:

Yep, might as well get it out of the way early, if ya' can, so ya' don't hafta' worry about it for the rest of the weekend...! :)

I 'm not a ballet fan but I saw the Nutcracker when I was 6 and was enchanted with it. That's when I started my nutcracker collection.

I might have about 500 or so.

500?!?!?! WOOF!!! That's sounds very cool, though...! :)
I've posted this here before, a long time ago, but, I had a fellow CM at the Disney Store that had a collection of over 5,000 Disney pins! It was somethin'...! :)
