It only got down to the originally predicted 38 overnight.

reminds me of these outrageous accidents that drunk people just somehow walk off. Its like being drunk somehow soften their muscles and thus minimizes the damage that otherwise might be fatal.I have no clue. He's 28 and was said to be the owner of the car. He could be just some young, rich, entrepreneur of some sort.
Either way, it just makes you shake your head. $385,000...!!!!!!!
Also, the fact that all 3 walked away from it is nothing short of a miracle.
Plus, what limited production Ferrari sports car even has seats for 2+ people...?
Unless the 3rd was laying in the back somewhere like Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off...?!

Went to the doctor today thinking I was sick. Turns out, it was just my asthma presenting itself in a more textbook fashion instead of the weird way that it usually presents.

Debbie Reynolds movie marathon on TCM.
Watched the last 45 mins. of "Hit the Deck", and currently watching "I Love Melvin"...neither of which I've ever seen before.
Some amazing musical/dance scenes in both...!
"Singin' in the Rain" is up next...!
I set the DVR last night and I've been recording all of them. The two you mentioned are two that I haven't seen either, I'm looking forward to watching them. Hubby will be working most all day Saturday and Sunday so I will be having a movie marathon!

I don't know about the age thing. I've been a big fan of classic movies from the 1940's to late 1950's since I was in my teens. I think it is more about having good taste!

And, there are so many I've seen and loved from my childhood, on up, on TV (even my old beeeeehind
wasn't born 'til 1962) over the years. I just seem to be finding sooo many wonderful old movies I never even knew existed, over the last few years, thanks to TCM...!

There is an easy explanation for that lol.
The boat can load a car.. the man needs to go to get supplies for his job as a lighthouse keeper.
The place to get supplies is too far away from the continental dock.
therefore, he needs a car. And I dont think its safe to leave the car back in the continental dock

If it was for just one day/night, I wouldn't even care about indoor plumbing.
Just a large cooler full of beer, some munchies, and something for light...like a flashlight and a way to make a fire...!
Oh, and maybe a little tequila...

You'd have to watch it yourself and make your own judgement, but, that portion of the show just seemed, to me anyway, to be way more about Oprah than MTM.

Ha ha ha!! Great idea, except his TV is hooked up to all kinds of other stuff--computers, etc. He has kind of his own Frankenstein lab going on . . .
