I would be okay with the new hub if there were just a few more benches or places to sit. I really like the new "park" space by the fountains and that would be a nice place to have a couple benches. Not everyone is able to sit on the ground and it would be nice to just have a place to sit and relax. I know that it "hinders" their new traffic flow and stupid people use the benches to stand on during fireworks, but it still would be nice.

I think it's the standing on the benches to watch the parades and the fireworks that sealed their doom. I remember CMs constantly have to tell people not to stand on them.

Yeah, that's what I think too, some people have to ruin it for the rest of us.

I'm sure guests standing on the benches are always an issue for CMs. I know the decrotative walls in Frontierland were always an issue for my DS when he'd pull an extra duty for extra $$$ when he did the college program. I've told the story before of him arguing with a family from Brazil. They'd get off the wall he'd walk away and they'd get back up. Repeat Repeat. He asked the supervisor for advice. He returned to the family and spoke to the father, informing the gentleman that this would be the last time HE addressed him. The next person would Disney Security to take them down off the wall and escort them out of the park permanently. They stayed off the wall.

But really I believe it is easier to let the guests believe the lack of benches is because guests misbehave and CMs can't control guests behavior when they really can. Getting tossed out of the parks is a good deterrent. Fact being they really do not want to take up the square footage of an on stage area. The hub is no long meant to be a place to chill and relax. It is an entertainment district and a traffic hub. Benches still remain in other portions of the parade route as do the decorative walls guests stand on. Benches also remain in Town Square, fewer but still there.

It has been around since Christmas, I was going to make him go into the doctor this week as I was getting worried. I was shocked when he mentioned on Saturday night that he was going to call on Monday (today) for an appointment.

I was also getting worried when last week he started talking about signing up to do the Polar Plunge in a couple weeks. The Polar Plunge is a fund raiser for the Special Olympics where participants raise money for the task of jumping into a lake....cut a hole in the ice and jump in. I told him it wasn't a good idea with recovering with pneumonia, and I was ready to be tough and forbid him to do it but after a large coughing fit he finally agreed with me.

Poor him. I had pneumonia when my son was small. I woke during the night in such pain that I not so nicely work the husband and stated we were going to the hospital. Me waking a 15 month old kid...well ya know I was in pain. It was a turning point for me. When DS was sick and later my DD I did what I could to guard myself as I had been catching whatever they brought home. I was so sick that year so many times that my weight dropped into the 80# range. No energy, caught everything and still had to take care of a babe. I've always declared myself as a germaphobe. That is the year it all began.

Thank your dh from all of us for thinking of the Special Olympics but you should NOT let him go even if he feels better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple of years ago my dh had a cold, it went into pneumonia and I kept him in for the whole week like our doc said to do. Even after that I didn't let him spend time outside for a while. Good luck to you.

Good morning at least we still have power knock wood. My dh's 10 minute commute was over an hour last night, I guess you know it's bad when sleet pellets are being used as traction over the glaze of ice:cautious: We only got about 3 inches of snow so far but that's over a sheet of ice and sleet:cautious: Seriously I don't remember a winter where we've ever gotten so much ice! We've had cold snowy winters where snow storms got measured in feet but never ever so much ice. Oh well our school is calling for a 2 hour delay as of now but even if they don't close I'm not sure I'll let the boys go the carp is till coming down and there's no way the roads will be safe:cold::coldfeet::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

It's going to be a fun day at my house:cautious:, I don't think I'll be able to get out and get Kingdom Heats 2.8 today and my older ds has been not so patiently waiting for it for his birthday gift:( Come here little groundhog:angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic:

Whelp, I am home. Surprisingly, I have not been yelled at by the cat so much as I have been headbutted to death. She tries to ignore me as a form of punishment, but she can't hold out for very long before she starts begging for attention again.

I'm glad that you are home safe and that Belle has you home. The headbutting reminded me of my dog Henry, whenever we would leave him for long periods of time (vacation) he would be all over us when we picked him up from my sister's house. He would be licking our faces, snuggling close, and just happy to see us, but the minute we got home he would refuse to come by us for a couple hours. He would sit/lay down on the love seat and give us a death stare. It was like he was saying, "I love you, I missed you, but now I must punish you for awhile." He was the best.:inlove:
