Thank you and yes we had some fun:)

I see your picture is still the same so you must have had so much fun that he hasn't cleaned up his room yet! ;)

Thank your dh from all of us for thinking of the Special Olympics but you should NOT let him go even if he feels better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple of years ago my dh had a cold, it went into pneumonia and I kept him in for the whole week like our doc said to do. Even after that I didn't let him spend time outside for a while. Good luck to you.

We quite a few Special Olympians in our congregation, so this is a big thing for us. I have had a difficult time getting hubby not to do things and take it easy. He did take a week off of work, but he is such a type A personality he has difficulties delegating tasks at work and taking it easy. Me on the other hand, I work hard but if someone gave me permission to not work and slow down, I'd be doing a happy dance!;)

Good morning at least we still have power knock wood. My dh's 10 minute commute was over an hour last night, I guess you know it's bad when sleet pellets are being used as traction over the glaze of ice:cautious: We only got about 3 inches of snow so far but that's over a sheet of ice and sleet:cautious: Seriously I don't remember a winter where we've ever gotten so much ice! We've had cold snowy winters where snow storms got measured in feet but never ever so much ice. Oh well our school is calling for a 2 hour delay as of now but even if they don't close I'm not sure I'll let the boys go the carp is till coming down and there's no way the roads will be safe:cold::coldfeet::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I'm glad you boys didn't have to go in. Ice is terrible, hope you all had another fun day at home.

Yes, that is true. Actually, they've been using dog companions for cheetahs for 30 years now. It's a very effective program for young cheetahs that have been abandoned by the mother (or if something happened to the mother). The male cheetahs, in particular, are social animals; and they relate well to the dogs with gentle personalities. The dogs have a calming influence on them. :)

Didn't know this. Learned somethin' new here, yet again, thanks to you and @Cesar R M...!!! :)

yes, my doctor insists that she is fine health wise...but still..

Thats what my mother and I were thinking, but the doctor actually maintained the dosage and added another medicine to the fray to try to calm her down at night.
Since she is really in danger if she wakes up at night and tries to walk move.

Oy. I am sorry. This is the vicious cycle we went through with my Dad last year. And yes they did try to give him meds to calm him. The narcotics made my Dad really squirrelly. Then they'd give him meds to calm that and he'd get very clumsy. It was the worst at night. What they finally found through a CT scan was a blood clot in his heart, when he laid down it wedged in a way that not enough oxygen would be in his blood and the wigg'n would start again. Over the course of 3 months prior the Doc's said they could find nothing wrong with him and that his heart was strong (and it was minus that clot they hadn't discovered up until then) ultimately because of his age, where the clot was and thinners not working due to its size it eventually was the thing that got him.

Me, I cannot have Codeine. It is on all my medical records. I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin, my heart races. Nasty combo for me.

I have actually been thinking the same about the blood cloth. But my mother is stubborn "doctor knows best".
Yeah right, she forgot that she needed 5 different doctors (when I was a kid) until I was almost dying and then they finally found my cancer?. I have a distrust of doctors who claim "absolutes".

I hate ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right now it's a mix of sleet and snow and is expected to change over and then we're going to get 4-10(you our guys a :brb:) of heavy wet carp. It looks like with what's coming in there will be at least a delay if not a closing tomorrow.:coldfeet::cold::grumpy::cry::cry::cry::cry: I guess we're going to watch The Tenth Kingdom, good but somewhat twisted fun for shut ins:hilarious: Come here little groundhog and show yourself:angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic: Have I ever mentioned how much I hate winter? BTW it was in the 60s and my windows were open the past couple of days.:cautious:

We had a day of almost 60. So nice. Kids in the parks, pups and owners out walking. It is cold and rainy now. Saying maybe ice and some snow overnight and tomorrow. Hate Winter. Hate Cold. FLORIDA!

In other news, whatever medicine they gave to my grandma, its insane. She has been 3 nights in a row saying incoherences and talking to the wall or at nothing at night.yelling very loudly. Like reviving some memories of her youth. Worse is when she tried to push herself out of the bed to try to stand (she cant, she's too weak!) so I had to sit down a few on her room to prevent her from moving out.. then my mother took charge.. went to sleep at 5:00 am x_x

Sympathy like.
Oh my. So sorry to hear. Hope the doctors can get the right combinations of medicines dialed in, and that she gets much better, soon.

Yep. I am with you on that Sir. In all my years I've had one Doc I've trusted wholeheartedly.

Your Gran is reminding me too much of my Dad. Three hospitals, several assisted livings each place with its own series of Doc's. I wanted to knock the one upside the head that told me he had severe dementia. Giggle, till his last breath the dude knew exactly what was going on in the world and around him, past and present. Just went nuts when his oxygen level dipped and the fools knocked him out with narcotics which he always had horrid reactions to. Once we knew he couldn't have surgery on his heart (he would die on table) and the clot wouldn't dissolve it was just a waiting time...and he was a strong willed, not so nice patient at that point.
Second, third...forth opinions are never a bad thing. {{{HUGS}}}
