Well, we live in a touristic town and all the beachfront hotels (quite a few) and governments shot fireworks.
so it isnt that bad transportation wise. But doing alone.. nah.

So about 5 am for me
What's the matter with that? I'm always up before 5 AM and so is Figgy. Many people are--we wouldn't want you to miss the fireworks. I wish I could see it at 5 AM here--but, it will be midnight here for the live streaming and I won't be awake that late . . .

yes please! potatoes too!We'll call my pop right after midnight and wish him a happy birthday. His celebrations are a little more subdued these days.
But, we'll all be over to their place again tomorrow to celebrate his birthday and the new year.
Roasted ducks time again...!!!!!

and no offense, but I loathe churches... already had enough with my mother pushing me to many classes in convents. So that is pretty much out of the question

This is one occasion I'm glad to live in the central time zone, it will only be 10:45/11pm here. So I just have to stay up about an hour later than normal.
5am wouldn't bother me either. Although I slept in until 7:30am today. I was shocked, then pleased, then disappointed as I felt I wasted some precious morning hours.

Alice Church house from Alice's Restaurant looked like a fun church where they had a Thanksgiving feast that couldn't be beat.at least you never had to live in one
