Dang. I still can't move off the couch. Tired combined with Gluttony.

th
I realized at some point today that I had basically been a bump on a log. If I'm fairly active on vacation, I don't force myself to go to the gym, but on a day like today where I've basically stuffed my face and moved minimally, I make myself go.

Now I'm just sore. :in pain: But since I went at 9:30 at night, I had the place to myself.

I like cookies that are easier to pipe icing on like gingerbread and molasses. Of course any mistakes eventually wind up in the tummy. :hungry: My daughter made stained glass cookies on her own. They're sugar cookies with jolly ranchers centers.

She has been cooking for awhile. This morning she made french toast with pepper omelets for Christmas breakfast.

Those are really pretty. Your daughter did a nice job.

I follow a site on Facebook that shows vintage pictures of St. Paul Minnesota, and i just love the one they shared today. I took a screenshot to share with you folks. I can think of a bunch of stories that could start with this picture.

I LOVE this photo. Took me back years in my mind to my city. You see, all the big cities kinda looked that way, and all that their identifiable stores in the downtown area--not a bunch of the same chain-stores all over the country like now. I also like the vintage decorations--again, same sort of style as in my city many years ago.

@donaldtoo , those were some nice photos you shared. Your mother's wedding gown looked exquisite in that picture.

That old phonograph is amazing--and it still works for him! (I imagine it must be difficult to find a replacement stylus for that old model, though.)

Food feast looked Yum City!!!

Everyone looked like they were having fun. :)

Your daughter is a talented artist--very nice paintings.

That is what I loved about that picture too, it really could have been any city. It just had a special look to it.

We are at urgent care for hubby. He still has hives, and he wanted to get it checked out before we head to Chicago.

Part of me hopes it is something that makes him think we should not go to see his family in Chicago. I might be a terrible person.
or you're just tired from all the holiday prep:angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic: Although I hope it's nothing serious. Has he changed body wash or shampoo recently? That could be the cause.

I got home from shopping just as the roads started to ice up:mad::mad::mad::mad: I need to move to Florida because winter here stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:coldfeet::cold::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
I played 18 holes of golf this morning with my grandson and SIL. Wasn't exactly sweating much. The temperature was around 54 degrees. Not hot, but, not to cold either. Especially for the day after Christmas. And I'm still 500 miles from Florida.
