I don't know if you've heard of these new fangled things call restaurants or not. With everything going on why not take them out for a nice dinner and come back to your home and have a nice tray of store bought cookies ready.
All of our restaurants are closed on Dec. 25. I wish some would be open. I've even suggested celebrating on the 24, it's been on deaf ears.

Thanks--not a bad idea. But we went out for Thanksgiving, and Christmas is really a day I like to stay at home, sitting near the Christmas tree, opening presents, listening to Christmas music, etc. I think I'll end up cooking something simple, buy a dessert, and have some munchies out ahead of time like nuts, and cheese and crackers. That's about all I can pull off this time.
That sounds wonderful, I want to do something like this next year. Meatballs, Farmland...original and in a jar spaghetti sauce would be easy. We get Farmland at Walmart. That's for hubby and I. I make homemade for Christmas. Next year, I'm saying no for much cooking.

I made Boston Terrier Christmas cookies last night :) I'm really happy with the results.
Those are great, thanks for sharing. I love the creativity on this thread. Your post made me smile....

It's in a tomato sauce with lots of onions and garlic. It's a recipe that I got from a friend's grandmother that I can only pass to my immediate family. I got lucky and spent time in her kitchen when I was a kid on a couple of Christmas Eve's. I'm not even supposed to have it:D
My sister threw out all of Mom's recipe's when she passed. I still haven't got over this. That was the only thing I asked for. Oh, the love of family's.....

Just say, none yo' bizness!
Problem is some of it you don't even know they are doing. They are watching your body language and deciding from that what type of personality you have. They have all turned into amateur psychologists except that they don't have a clue what they are doing, but, it's only because they read a book once. They are so proud of themselves for their subtle way of evaluating people. They are, of course, wrong as often as they are right, but, they only acknowledge what was guessed correctly. It stems from two things. One, they are to lazy to ask questions and, two, are not capable of intellectually asking the right questions and then even evaluating the answers they get. I worked for a person once that waited until after the person left and then ran to the window to see what form of transportation they were using. Inside her head, she had a formula that she relied on to determine certain things about the person by what type of vehicle they used. She would go on and on bragging about how clever she was while the rest of us held in our laughter.

To me the actuality is that within the first two minutes of any interview subconsciously dictates ones likelihood of getting a job. If the chemistry is there the answer to any questions asked or physical movements will be evaluated positively and it will then just boil down to qualifications, but, not always. I used to never ask questions like... Where would you like to be in five years? Probably because as I got older the only answer I had was, upright on this side of the grass. They are stupid questions with answers designed strictly to satisfy the questioner.

We become our parents and grandparent's....all of mine gained a lot of weight over the years. Sadly, it's happening to me. In a couple more year's I could play Mrs. Clause!;)
That happens to most everyone as they age. Your metabolism changes and your activity level declines and you gain weight. The exception is someone like me that was grossly overweight to begin with and was able to lose weight, but, it appears to have leveled off now so I'm probably at the weight that I would have ended up at had I been thin all my life.

You are right, both sister and I are looking more and more like the family. I'll just order a bigger fire when I go...cremation wise.;););)
