So excited that we have three of you guys going to Paris though. I look forward to hearing about everyone's experiences.
they will probably face a lot of construction due of renovations.

It seems all major parks are under expansion.

Disneyland Cali is set to upgrades for the 60th anniversary.
WDW is set for major expansions in 2 parks (AK and MGM) and Small upgrades (Epcot with Soarin' and Frozen)
Disneyland Shangai is still under construction
Hong Kong DisneyLand is set to an expansion (another park and hotels?)

Wonder if Croc's will become socially acceptable by Spring 2015???

I hope those small, waist packs come back in style. They were the best, small packs to wear at Disney and you never had to think about holding on to a purse or whatever, because they hooked on like a belt. I have a tiny, cross-body bag (as a consolation prize . . .) that I take with me nowadays to the parks, but I miss the waist packs. :(

Victoria and Albert's does not allow young children, they are not invited so to say. This place has rules and they must be followed. As much as I'd like to try the food it is too pretentious for me. I ate on my Honeymoon on the Queen Mary at an incredibly pretentious high end restaurant. I was uncomfortable and my husband didn't enjoy his meal at all. There was so much wait staff that it was like every move you made someone was watch. So not me.

From the Disney Website:

Age Limit
Guests ages 10 and above are invited to dine at this establishment.

Oh, that's interesting; I didn't realize there was an age limit. It must be the only restaurant in all of WDW that has an age minimum.

High-end establishments aren't for everyone, but let me tell you: if I had a chance to go there, I absolutely would. Furthermore, my dream would be to get seated at the Chef's Table for a unique experience. I would love it. :inlove:

Perhaps because I worked in the hotel industry prior to hospitals, I gained an appreciation for those rare instances when I was invited to some very high-end dinners. I treasure those memories, and on those now (extremely rare) occasions when the situation presents itself, I'm "in"!! Because 99% of the time now, dining is casual for me (yes, I've even been known to eat a sandwich over the sink sometimes--no dishes that way! :hilarious:) it would be such a treat again to watch a master chef work his/her magic with creative cuisine. They work with food, but they are also artists. It's all part of the experience. Sigh . . . I wish I was at Victoria and Albert's now . . . although I suppose at 5:25 AM, they're not quite ready for me . . . :D

I agree. I've only been a few places in my life that do that type of tiny plating and many many courses. Sadly I am full by the 20 minute mark no matter what the the portion is. So if the salad is served and my meal comes soon after all is good. If it is soup, salad then meal I am never hungry for the meal. My way to thwart that now is if there is soup then salad I skip the soup to preserve my bio clock. At best I taste dessert served right after a meal I just can't stuff all that in without feeling sick.

I'm sorry, but that explanation was too complicated for me  :p

Is a "waist pack" really not just a "f-a-n-n-y pack"?

In which case; if they ever made a comeback, I too would wear one.
At WDW only of course.

ETA - Really, f-a-n-n-y is a bad word?

Pay attention to the in-flight safety demo!! It could save your life. :) We all kinda like having you around.
Thank you.
A) I've seen it dozens of times.
B) Does anyone ever really remember what to do when the time comes?
C) Except in the most minor incidents, does it even really matter?

Besides SkyMall is so fun. Like, who needs 3/4 of this stuff?
Turns out - nobody. :p Hence, the Chapter 11 filing.

Yes, it does, because seconds can save lives, and that's not restricted to minor incidents only. When I was in my late 20s, I took flying lessons (small Cessna). Trust me, the FAA was there on site every day at the airport and all these procedures were drummed into our heads. Same rules apply to large aircraft.

So, it's Saturday, and do I get to sleep in?
Nooooooooo sir, I do not.

Up at 5:30 to see one kid off to work, and again at 10:00, to make sure Son #2 is up for his driving lesson.
(He bought my Mom's old Park Avenue off of my brother, so he is finally serious about getting his licence.)

Why do you have to get up @JenniferS? Can't they just get up on their own?
You would think so ... but these boys are working 55-60 hours of hard physical labour right now, and they are pretty tuckered out.
Plus, you know, they're teenaged boys who can also sleep 55-60 hours/week. :hilarious:
