in other news.. I wonder if I should work as a photographer. I manage to take photos of friends and family on special events.. even when they take 6+ hours x_x

(hint, just went to a 50th anniversary of some long time friends of my father and mother, and friends of mine. Including photo session in their home, church and then on a restaurant event)
Yes! It may turn out to be a nice little side business if not more:)

It's 15 degrees and breezy, it's snowing and the farm market is closed:mad: Have I mentioned how much I hate winter? The only thing today is good for is finishing up my wrapping and start baking. Neither of which I'm in the mood for.

It's snowing here though it will be gone by this afternoon.

1 - 3 inches then change to rain. Heat wave this weekend. Today will be mid 40s and tomorrow will be near 60.

Question: So I have to fly down to my interview. I was wondering can you carry a suit and a carry on or is that no good? United Airlines...never flown with them. I have an hour layover coming home urgghh. No non-stops.

As lame as it sounds, I'd suggest you call United and ask. Many of the majors are changing up their carry-on policies, and it's better to know the rules before you go. If you plan to depart the plane and head directly to your interview (and not waste time waiting for checked luggage), then be sure you know what you can and cannot bring on board. I've seen people get stopped--literally on the ramp leading into the plane, and airline personnel taking some carry-on items away from them--right there--and forcing them to put in checked luggage. If they refuse, they cannot board the plane.

My friend, you have a GIFT for photography. Your photos are exquisite.

As Figgy mentioned, maybe try a few photo sessions as a side job only--at least at the beginning. I have no idea how much call there is in your area for photographers, and it may never get to the point of full-time; or maybe it will, if that's what you want. Plus, taking photos for your own enjoyment, versus getting paid to do a job, may also influence your future decision.

This one will make you thankful for Christmas everyday. Your bank account not so much.

Williams-Sonoma

Even on Sale-$79.99

Ha! Such a deal !!! :hilarious:

For some odd reason, this reminds me of the expensive "gift" commercials I get hammered with, every work morning, when I'm watching the 4:30 AM news. Is it just me?? But, I find these commercials for BMW, Lexus, Audi, etc. to be depressing. They're all geared toward Christmas gifts!! I'm telling you that hell will freeze over before I ever see someone give me a new 2017 car with a red ribbon on top of it, for my Christmas present!!! :banghead:

Well, it is more of a passive aggressive attempt to make you want to buy one as "our Christmas gift this year". No others just the car. I would think that anyone that can just go out and buy one of those probably could afford both, but, what are the odds. BTW, will you be happy when hell does freeze over? It might just be the place to go.

I like the new Soarin but not all of it. Seriously a dirt smell:hungover:

You don't like the smell in the Africa scene? I love it, it smells like fresh cut grass to me, and I love fresh cut grass. Especially in the spring when it is the first cut of the season. Love it. I do miss the orange smell though, I wish they could have found a way to keep that one.

Our snow has stopped, we shoveled out at 5:50 am. When that was done I made us a big breakfast and now I'm planning to just lounge the rest of the day.

I have seen flight attendants hang wedding dresses in one of the little closets they have on the plane. They would probably do that for a suit too, that takes up less room than a wedding dress. Just ask nicely.

I don't find it depressing. I do wonder what is so great about their cars that someone would pay so much for one. Whenever I play the lottery, I never dream about getting a new car. I'm very happy with my Chevy. No one will ever buy me a car with a ribbon on top either, and that's fine. Although I wouldn't mind if hubby recreated the scene from Lady and the Tramp and I had a puppy under the tree with a big bow this year. But I don't think that's going to happen, especially since he says all my presents are wrapped and under the tree (none are moving or have air holes).
