I would like to have someone to cook for me, for a couple days. Between my hip injury, it's hard to move and get around. I was in so much pain last night, I could only sleep 4 hours. Didn't get to sleep until 1:30 A.M. And woke up at 5:30 A.M. this morning. I've been rocking in my chair to ease the pain. Everyone should have a nice padded rocking chair. It really did help!

Bets, sorry to hear about your hip injury. Hope you have some meds for the pain. Rocking chairs are nice--I used to have one, but moving around as much as I have over the years, it was just too big to lug around anymore. Glad you have one though.

And as I recall, this was one of your better projects. Sad though, while this is your last group project what it has really prepared you for is the business world. Likely throughout your career you will continue to endure the same scenario, the worker bees and the sliders, the ones that will be carried and the ones that contribute.

My DD has already encountered this ad nausea. Last month her boss addressed her team on her day off and told them to stop dumping everything on her. My DD never mentioned it, complained etc but Boss Lady noted it on her own.
Shhhhh! Let her enjoy her graduation vacation before having to deal with the real world

We are in for a week with below zero weather. Less than amused. I'd look like one of those first born children whose alpha parents bundle their child so much they can't walk and their arms can no longer reach the side of their body.
Add a few layers to that and that's what I look like in this type of weather. Picture the Michelin tire guy:hilarious: I may have even bought an extra pair of thinsulate gloves to go over another pair in my travels this weekend. Yup I've been known to put at least 3 layers on every part of my body once it gets cold.

No, you have to love your children, everyone else is open game. You do for your own benefit tolerate others but love, or even like is a flexible situation. You can even love your children but not particularly like them. It's a complex game.

Many families have complex relationships. Some family members (and relatives) you can love, but still dislike them and keep a distance. That Norman Rockwell painting about the happy, multi-generational family, at the Thanksgiving table comes to mind; some families are really like that. As a kid, I always thought that was normal for everyone. As an adult, I realize it's not necessarily true in many cases.

Good morning, we got carp about 6 or 8 inches worth and it's still coming down:mad::grumpy: i have no desire to check and see how much, none what so ever. We've already gotten word school is at the very least delayed a couple of hours and my dh got a text stating he can take unscheduled leave today if he so desires due to road conditions. The only upsides at this point are I have already heard the plow and it's still snow not ice. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:mad::arghh::bawling::cold::coldfeet::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::grumpy::cold::coldfeet::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

I've barely started Christmas Shopping. Should really get on that.

We had about 6 inches yesterday, and at least that again today. Problem with weekend snows, lack of plowing. State and Cities don't want to pay extra to clear the roads. Funny though it is in the local budget anyhow. Wonder what they prefer to spend those tax dollars on.

If one of their family members got in a car wreck from unplowed roads, I'll bet the plows would start coming out . . .
