I thought I would share my handiwork of shoveling. When I got home from church I shoveled so hubby wouldn't have to when he was done with work. It did snow a little more but not so much that I had to go out again.

And when I came in i saw the dog was hard at work too.

Just love that picture of her. Priceless. Walt was allowed on my bed but not the furniture throughout the house. He would take the pillows off the sofa for his head on the floor. Use his dog bed as a pillow, take throw blankets and dig up as an alternative bed. Our pups sure know how to make themselves comfy.

This is now my last group project rant ever:

Me earlier today: Did you guys finish the PowerPoint due tomorrow that you were supposed to have finished by, um, yesterday?
Group member #1: Um, no
Group member #2: I need you to resend me the OneDrive link

I sent it last week when group member #2 asked for it.

Me tonight: Did you finish the PowerPoint
Group Member #1: I finished the first part
Group Member #2: I did my slides, I'll insert them now.

OneDrive (basically Microsoft Office onthe Internet) an hour later..

"Group Member #2 is editting the PowerPoint"

*sigh* I am so glad I never have to do one of these ever again.

And as I recall, this was one of your better projects. Sad though, while this is your last group project what it has really prepared you for is the business world. Likely throughout your career you will continue to endure the same scenario, the worker bees and the sliders, the ones that will be carried and the ones that contribute.

My DD has already encountered this ad nausea. Last month her boss addressed her team on her day off and told them to stop dumping everything on her. My DD never mentioned it, complained etc but Boss Lady noted it on her own.

It was a better semester than some, but for the two group papers I had, I ended up basically keeping the content but rewording and restructuing the entire papers.

The nice thing about this job I really want is its independent nature.

We were lucky, we got by with a dusting. More coming this week....I'm glad Christmas shopping is done...

I've barely started Christmas Shopping. Should really get on that.

We had about 6 inches yesterday, and at least that again today. Problem with weekend snows, lack of plowing. State and Cities don't want to pay extra to clear the roads. Funny though it is in the local budget anyhow. Wonder what they prefer to spend those tax dollars on.

I get that. My DD is struggling with the group tasks in her position and the extra things her boss gives her to do that others do not receive. Good experience, good resume builders but at times she is a bit overwhelmed with it all beyond her normal responsibilities and the freak'n idea she gets more to do cause her boss realizes she will get it done and her other employees won't. It so didn't end with graduation for her.

. You can even love your children but not particularly like them. It's a complex game.
My mom says that about my teen years. The elementary school nurse told her that was hour she felt about her children in their teenage years, and my mom felt justified in feeling that way when I was a teen. Though I remind her on a regular basis that she pretty much liked me again once I was 16.

My brother is 15, awkward, and gets on our nerves pretty much every day now. He was annoying me today, and I finally yelled at him to knock it off, and my mom walked in my room snickering. I asked her what was so funny, and she's like, "Oh, I'm just glad to know he's normal."

I had some mild moments like that with my sons growth years as a kid, I relate them to when he was rapidly growing that made his personality like from Mars.
Me, I was over the Moon that I never had those teen moments with my DD. No explanations. I was blessed she never had those off kilter moments.

I would like to have someone to cook for me, for a couple days. Between my hip injury, it's hard to move and get around. I was in so much pain last night, I could only sleep 4 hours. Didn't get to sleep until 1:30 A.M. And woke up at 5:30 A.M. this morning. I've been rocking in my chair to ease the pain. Everyone should have a nice padded rocking chair. It really did help!
I'm sorry you're still in pain, i hope you get better soon xoxo BTW you are so right about a comfy chair. We have nice soft rocking recliners, they must be really comfy because my dh has been known to fall asleep in his while watching a movie:confused:

Back in the day, my grandma used one to keep the bugs out. Houses weren't as tightly build as they are today. We lived in a house that had a dirt basement.
My in laws have a house with a root cellar. I was quite surprised how long food lasts in those. I was surprised her house has one because it's not that old but it was built by a farmer who had one in his previous house.

How is everyone this evening? Little one still has some of the crud. Breathing has gotten better, but now she's developed a cough. Doctor told us to expect that, because the breathing treatment is breaking up all that junk in her chest. My wife and I are currently sleeping in different rooms (living at my parents home, we're in the process of building new home), and my daughter was coughing pretty hard crying "I want to go in Daddy's room". It melted my heart when my wife told me that. So I went and got her and let her sleep in my bed for the night. Which she slept well, however I didn't. My little girl, bless her heart, likes to sleep diagonal... With her legs across my chest. LOL!
So sweet, enjoy these years while she's little. I hope she's all better soon.
