I have one of those relatives. The last phone call I got was "can I "borrow(LOL) $5000 for a lawyer" I was nice at least I didn't laugh.:D
Ha!! How did you not laugh at that? And why did he/she need a lawyer? My brother wanted to "borrow" $750 from me just before DH and I got married. He says "I know you have money set aside for your wedding. Can you lend it to me and I'll pay you back when I have it?" Which, "when I have it" in his language is "Quarter to never"...I lied. I told him I didn't have anything set aside because I paid for things as we booked them. Is that mean?

I hope not, be well and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. We're all sending hugs and warm wishes for your dh's speedy recovery. xoxo
Pretty sure it wasn't Noro. He was fine this morning and went back to work...I think he'd be out for several days if it was Noro. Must just have been a bug. DD was complaining about a stomach ache today and boy was she pale when she came out of school. DS is hard to tell because he's practically albino anyway, but they were both feeling a bit off, so here's hoping they didn't catch daddy's bug!

This is now my last group project rant ever:

Me earlier today: Did you guys finish the PowerPoint due tomorrow that you were supposed to have finished by, um, yesterday?
Group member #1: Um, no
Group member #2: I need you to resend me the OneDrive link

I sent it last week when group member #2 asked for it.

Me tonight: Did you finish the PowerPoint
Group Member #1: I finished the first part
Group Member #2: I did my slides, I'll insert them now.

OneDrive (basically Microsoft Office onthe Internet) an hour later..

"Group Member #2 is editting the PowerPoint"

*sigh* I am so glad I never have to do one of these ever again.
Yikes...I feel your pain. Group projects just suck. DD had to have a talk with her teachers today because they are doing a group project. 2 of the girls (DD and one of her best friends) worked really hard, did research at home for their 3-4 sections and stayed after school to work on the power point a few times. The other 2 girls never did any of their 3 sections, which they were supposed to have typed up last Wednesday so they could make their power point slides in the next 2 weeks for their presentation. So then they tell DD and her friend that they will just present some of the sections that DD and friend did. DD said no way, and one of the girls told her she had to, because otherwise she had nothing to present. Luckily the teachers are on top of it and are going to give the girls one last chance to do their OWN work, or they fail and DD and her friend will be the only ones given credit for the project. But I really hate group work...there's always at least ONE person who just refuses to do anything or that you can't rely on. I'm glad this is your last one!!!

How is everyone this evening? Little one still has some of the crud. Breathing has gotten better, but now she's developed a cough. Doctor told us to expect that, because the breathing treatment is breaking up all that junk in her chest. My wife and I are currently sleeping in different rooms (living at my parents home, we're in the process of building new home), and my daughter was coughing pretty hard crying "I want to go in Daddy's room". It melted my heart when my wife told me that. So I went and got her and let her sleep in my bed for the night. Which she slept well, however I didn't. My little girl, bless her heart, likes to sleep diagonal... With her legs across my chest. LOL!
After our daughter left home, our doggies did that. I woke up stiff everymorning. I didn't have the heart to move them.

So sorry to hear about your hip injury, I must have missed you talking about it. What happened? Is there anything that your doctor can give you, if only to help you sleep? I have been having back pain for a couple months now, to the point I could barely stand up out of bed in the morning. I finally went to get a medical massage last week, it really helped a lot. I'm going back next week for another. Perhaps something like that might help. I hope it gets better soon.
I tripped on my kitchen rug, and it slipped out from under me. Landed on the tile floor. Very hard hit. But these old bones are getting better. Today, after getting up and moving around are feeling better.

I want to pinch the state, county and local twits making the calls on plowing on a Sunday. I heard the plows in the middle of the night. Yay! kind of. None of the governmental plows opted to salt. Yes I want everything. The left over snow and slush turned hard as a rock into an inch base of ice. While I do have 4x4 it is kinda useless on an ice skating rink of a street. I'm close to the salt hut that auto fills the salt trucks, it is filled and spilling out. What the heck. :banghead:
YUCK sounds like somebody needs a nice hard pinch. We got almost all snow and the little bit of ice we got seems to have melted. I have to give it my road crews they did a really good job here:joyfull: This time:cautious:

My mom says that about my teen years. The elementary school nurse told her that was hour she felt about her children in their teenage years, and my mom felt justified in feeling that way when I was a teen. Though I remind her on a regular basis that she pretty much liked me again once I was 16.

My brother is 15, awkward, and gets on our nerves pretty much every day now. He was annoying me today, and I finally yelled at him to knock it off, and my mom walked in my room snickering. I asked her what was so funny, and she's like, "Oh, I'm just glad to know he's normal."
Our DD teen years were somewhat difficult for us. But, she was a good girl...did lot's of activities in school got very good grades. She just needed to express herself. Wearing all black for a year, and cutting off her hair for a punk hairdo. She made her money, working at McD's so who was I to complain?

I was really polite on the phone and it was a second DWI before the same judge in the same town:mad: It's a small town and everybody knows first timers get state minimums but show up a second time and the book gets thrown at you. Lawyer was trying to get a change of venue:mad:

Bets, sorry to hear about your hip injury. Hope you have some meds for the pain. Rocking chairs are nice--I used to have one, but moving around as much as I have over the years, it was just too big to lug around anymore. Glad you have one though.
Thanks, no meds. I go to the Dr. very little. Now, that my other Dr. has retired, I will tough it out. And tough I am!
