Ha!! We didn't go quite that far, but my mom wouldn't give out her poppyseed bread recipe or her seaoning salt recipe. She told people they could have them if they moved away or she died. So before she died, she made us promise to put those recipes in her funeral program so she could keep her promise.

Awe, that was a sweet final request.

Well, while it's frustrating to be passed around and to have an issue unresolved, I'm glad you finally have an answer that should LEAD to getting it fixed. So sorry it's taken this long, though!! So I take it it means needing more surgery? How was the last surgery? Was it really serious? Did it take you long to recover?
Still annoying that he had to go around that many specialists to find what he had.
lots of $$$ spend?

I'm a grandparent of two wonderful boys, grandparents loved those kids, and love spending as much time as they can with their grand kids. I love, when we are called on to sit. We take over crafts and things to do together, puzzles and games are fun too.
My daughter is 2 and loves when the Grandparents come which is quite a lot because I work in a Bank and my Wife is gone at the Hospital for long periods of time. My daughter loves games and especially helping both Grandma's cook.

Sorry for the delay in response! Still have the cough, which is keeping me up at night, so I'm not getting good rest, which means the cough is prolonged. :banghead:

Hopefully I'm all better before we leave on our trip next Saturday, though! Fingers and toes crossed.

My cold is hanging on with a cough as well. I've weened myself off the NyQuil, but I still wake up around midnight-1am and cough for about 5 minutes and then fall back asleep. I'm sure WDW will heal any lingering effects! Have a great time!:)

Right now it is still really high at 4.13%& for a 30 Year Fixed.
Huh. That's what my data says, but it also says that on December 1, they were 4.08, which is a .04% increase.

Besides, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but a 0.7% difference in interest rates seems like a pretty significant difference. For a $300,000 30 year mortgage at 3.3% verses 4% is a difference in payments of about $1800 per year. For higher mortgages, the difference would be even higher.

Same thing with inflation. A rate of 2% is considered normal inflation and what the Federal Reserve targets, whereas 1.3% is low inflation, and the Fed night consider dropping interest rates.

That's just why I'm confused as to why you'd say a 0.7% drop is small. Maybe since you're the expert you could clarify?

In Wyoming and South Dakota a year or two ago (maybe 3?), there was a huge blizzard that killed thousands of cattle and kept people in their homes for about 4 days. My dad had no heat or electricity for at least 2 days. Roads were closed for days afterwards, which made it hard for anyone to get groceries because they could only get to the small grocery store in town that doesn't carry much and is very expensive, and of course the stores couldn't get their stock because the delivery trucks couldn't get through with the roads closed.
I know it happens occasionally, but, I am also assuming that most people have at least a weeks worth of food in their house. It might not be what they would normally eat, but, it is edible and usable if necessary to keep going. I have canned goods and boxed stuff, like cereal, snacks etc. I'm just saying buying enough for a couple of weeks is a pretty extraordinary need.

I've never heard of canned bread before. Have you tried it? What is it like?
I know I did, but, it was a long, long time ago and I really do not remember what it was like. I would have been a pre-teen at that time. If they still sell it, it would be great for long term storage. It probably came out during the cold war days when everyone was building and stocking fallout shelters.

I LOVE Brussels Sprouts. We go to this buffet here, and I always head straight for the streakhouse portion because that's where the Brussels Sprouts are. I have a recipe that I got from the winner of Master Chef America....they are stuffed with a garlic and cream cheese mixture, wrapped in bacon, and then roasted. So good!!

Yep, major Brussels sprouts fan here, too...!!! :hungry:
