My grandmother made bread often. But she just said it was waiting for the bread to rise--never heard this "proofing" term before. Did you just make it up?

Yep, it was always "rise" with my grandmothers, too. From watching the food shows these days, it sounds like proof is the new rise.
This is actually my kinda' proof...!

Belle and Ranger got theirs back for a little while tonight, but, there were no major casualties...!
It seems they've learned they can destroy their "toy", but, nothing else, and now, maybe, they're learning that if they destroy them too soon, they won't have another one for a while...!!!
