Ha ha ha!! Yah, next to absconding food, his favorite thing is destruction. We buy him some stuffed toys with squeakers a few times a year. The most recent one, a monkey, he ripped apart (carnage was all over the house) in about 30 minutes.

Too funny, hahaaa...!!!!!!! :hilarious:
Youngest DD came home from shopping last night with 2 of those...a reindeer and a Santa Claus.
The were taken up for the night before they could completely destroy them in one sitting. ;)
We still ended up having to put half the stuffing back in the reindeer , and DWifey stitched it back up...!!! :hilarious:
We'll bring them back out for another round tonight. :D
We by them similar a few times a year. :)

What i hope will be enough plain bread for stuffing is in my oven proofing(my oven has proofing settings):joyfull: Next comes the hard part hiding it from the boys:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I remember both my grandmothers homemade bread...! :hungry:
Not to mention all the other homemade food from their farms. Meat, poultry, eggs, veggies, etc., all fresh from the farm.
A hen or two that was still clucking that morning would end up a homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch that afternoon. Noodles made from scratch that morning. Hands down the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had...!!! :hungry:
I've got the family strudel recipe down, so I think the chicken noodle soup recipe needs to be next on my list. Mom still makes it from time to time...! :)

My dad got that from his father before he bugged out....He didn't want to have anything with his kids. My dad and his sister. So sad. His sister went to one family and dad went to another. Family's aren't really family's at times. Dad did the best he could, never having been in a real family. Kudo's to him for working hard. Yes, he could be scary at times.....but he didn't ever have a role model.

My daughter was as well. Turned out to be allergy related. We could count on her having a cold with fever at least once a month for the first 4 years of her life. We could count on pneumonia at least twice a year. When we finally had her tested she was allergic to all kinds of things. Cigarette smoke.. both her mother and I smoked back then, grass, dust, milk and even some of her own bacteria. Finally the doctors relented to give her allergy shots and from that moment on for the next 5 years she didn't even have a single cold. Currently she does seem to get colds often, but, she has three kids ranging from 17 to 5 years old. Kinda hard to avoid stuff with that large a group of carriers.
This sounds like my childhood, I was in the hospital multiple times for pneumonia, my dad was a chain smoker, I was an early baby....I didn't have time to develop an immune system. They didn't do anything back in the day....But, I was a fighter ....early one, no one expected me to live after birth... I was about 5 pounds. No one could hear when I cried. This was in the 40's. I was in an ICU, for several weeks. When I came home, dad still smoked....not much was known at that time.....I never got tested for allergies, but I threw up every time I was forced to drink milk. Mom made sure my sister and I had milk before going to school. Sis was fine.....The Dr. chalked it up to a nervous stomach. I wasn't nervous, and just couldn't have it. At school we had to have milk for lunch. I stuffed my milk carton and didn't have anything to drink. I'm so glad that Dr's today understand stand milk and dairy allergies. I don't touch the stuff.
