Had to google the album 'cause I've only ever heard it mentioned here before.
It was recorded at the Tidelands Club at the Tidelands Motor Inn in Houston, Texas on Feb. 10th, 1960. Only about a 32 min. recording.
But, at the 1961 Grammy Awards it won Album of the Year and Bob Newhart won Best New Artist. The first time a comedy album ever won Album of the Year, and the only time a comedian has ever won Best New Artist.
Wow!!! Now I REALLY need to find a recording of this somewhere...! :)
Me too. My uncle owned this album. It was so funny. Mom and Dad couldn't get his humor .

Ha ha ha!! Yah, next to absconding food, his favorite thing is destruction. We buy him some stuffed toys with squeakers a few times a year. The most recent one, a monkey, he ripped apart (carnage was all over the house) in about 30 minutes.
Freddy did that too. We adopted him from the local animal shelter. Maybe he thought of those toys as the former owners. He was underfed and full of worms. We took him to the vet. and got him fixed up. Maybe I should wonder if he was mad at us. He had a full bowl of food for the day and night. We didn't want him to worry where his next meal would come from. He got caught up on his shots and was watched by us and the vet. After all, he was my boy.....

I love Star Trek, it was so inventive in my day, I was a teenager back then. Dad and I couldn't miss it. Mom wasn't into it and sister hated it. We all had a difference of opinion. Dad and I loved Twilight Zone, Sis was afraid of it.
My mom had me watching TNG at around age 7. I look back on old papers and such from elementary school and give all the credit to Star Trek for why my vocabulary was much better than a seven year old's normally is (that, and I was precocious. But Star Trek too).

I remember both my grandmothers homemade bread...! :hungry:
Not to mention all the other homemade food from their farms. Meat, poultry, eggs, veggies, etc., all fresh from the farm.
A hen or two that was still clucking that morning would end up a homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch that afternoon. Noodles made from scratch that morning. Hands down the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had...!!! :hungry:
I've got the family strudel recipe down, so I think the chicken noodle soup recipe needs to be next on my list. Mom still makes it from time to time...! :)
We did the same on the farm. I loved fresh eggs, and fresh veggies, and fresh nuts. Along with my grandma's home made noodles with really good chicken broth. Oh, why do we have to buy processed food, or natural that doesn't taste like natural. Everything had so much real flavor back then.

Is it just me or the two bunnies spotted in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle during the special for Disneyland's 10th Anniversary appears to be one of Thumper's sisters?

I'm bad I loved watching the destruction. What does that say about me?

Hahaaa...! :)
Belle and Ranger got theirs back for a little while tonight, but, there were no major casualties...!
It seems they've learned they can destroy their "toy", but, nothing else, and now, maybe, they're learning that if they destroy them too soon, they won't have another one for a while...!!! :hilarious:
