Blah. Get well soon.

I hate night terrors. But curious about yours since it is about Disney World afterall. ;)
Well, it involves me getting hired.. getting thrown into Vista Way on a room full of druggy hippies (8 of them in a tiny room) and then one of the top executives giving me the real "lock and key" of the kingdom. telling me that I need to close and open the doors of WDW every day... but they never gave me instructions of what hours what to do , the process..etc.. and turns out the executive left as WDW's was facing economical collapse.
That dream felt a lot like the hilarious and also enraging movie of Jim Carrey (Fun with Dick and Jane) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fun_with_Dick_and_Jane_(2005_film).

And I thought my recurring dreams about overturning boats on Splash Mountain/PoTC was weird. Or the Big Thunder Mountain derailment dream (seriously, why did my father tell me about that happening at DL? I was eight years old.)

This year I got sneaky and shredded Brussels Sprouts and leeks then sauteed them in a bit of olive oil with a touch of garlic and they were a big hit. I just put them out and didn't tell anybody what they were because we have a few in our group who claim to hate them. One of the haters asked for the recipe:D

Ha! I've done things like that over the years too. Love it.

My son was such a picky eater, even through his teens. He had a wealthy girl-friend, not a girlfriend, though I knew always she wanted more. She and He were always their safety backups for weddings dances etc. He was the one friend that the family allowed to nice dinners, out restaurants, up to their vacation home. *pays to raise kids with proper manners* He always referred to her as his adoptive Mom, I was the Birth Mom. (I really liked this lady, we were together a lot, they were both swimmers.) She a perfect Italian Mom (far cry from Irish Moms) introduced him to awesome foods that for some reason he'd never try for me but would for them and then come home and tell me about all these awesome things he ate (me jealous) she even got him to eat shell fish.

I tried once similar to what you did and went sneaky. I love spinach cooked and raw. I shredded the fresh spinach and tossed is with slightly blanched tomatoes, onions and peppers and topped it with bacon vinaigrette dressing. Me, being the only one that would eat spinach had a hit. They loved it and wanted it all the time. Years went by before I was outed. I also make a vegetarian spinach, tomato, onion, garlic pasta too. Don't know what they think that wilted green stuff is but they snarf it up. Sometimes it is fun to be sneaky. Still with my DS I give most of the credit to the other Mom.

All I can say is guys are just wired differently. Pick the best of the best guys and sometimes they just go wayward in their thought process of good judgement. I don't disregard the whole animal kingdom philosophy of the maternal Mom thing. We are just wired differently. I see the differences between my son and my daughter. What concerns one escapes the other. Me, I think God has an odd sense of humor.

@Songbird76 we watched episode #3 of GG last night. Interesting one-but not my favorite. Both my DD and I both noted what seemed to be many many minutes of 'filler' which has never been the case with GG's.
I still loved Rory and Lorelai's banter by the pool, and how they got those kids to hold their parasols.:joyfull: And the Stars Hollow musical was painfully bad, but super hilarious. But it could have been shorter.

Also, earlier today, I read an article entitled, "Why Jess was the best boyfriend". My reaction...

Yeah, he treated Rory horribly, was disrespectful to Luke and Lorelai, and left without so much as a "Goodbye." And yeah, he did grow up, but he was NOT a good boyfriend when they were together. Logan could be a jerk too, and I hated what they did with his character in the revival, but he treated Rory MUCH better than Jess did. Even Dean, for all his faults, was a better boyfriend. Do NOT understand the Jess hype.

The whole thing was completely stupid. The dude claimed to be living "in fear" because he couldnt "pray in public". And the thing he does is.. attack others to show insecurity and put everyone in fear.. *facepalm* :banghead:

All this is so difficult. We are built on a nation of welcome. Very few of us/family are native to the land. We need to shelter those who are from troubled lands. We are a nation that needs to be mindful of the troubles that are entering our soil. Still those who have endured what he did in the various countries he did, melding into our culture I'm sure for some is a long shot, I can see (not grasp) the culture shock and distrust. I'm thankful I was born where I was. Not ever an excuse but I've never walked in those shoes. Amen.

My dad just has zero filter in some ways. He's got more of a filter with my brother because you have to be careful what you say around my brother, or he could misunderstand and have a major freak out. With me though, well, let's just say there's stuff I know that I really didn't need or want to know.

OMG!!! I got such a laugh out of this entire post!!! We also had a neighbor that had custom PLASTIC covers over all the furniture in her livingroom! I used to play with the daughter, and she told me what a big deal it was on Easter, Christmas, and a few important visiting days from the relatives, that the plastic would come off for the "special" company!! :hilarious: :hilarious:

But the funniest thing was your MIL covering up the armrest doilies in plastic vinyl??!!! :D :D (Would that be considered OCD behavior?) :p

Lots and lots of OCD behaviors and more from my MIL side of the inlaw family. Most of my FIL side of the family are pretty soundly minded-still those peeps are those that try and trump and one up ya, fortunately my dear FIL was never like that.

I want to order you up a 32 ounce porterhouse steak from the Yachtsman to built up your heme iron level for winter.
:D You can go back to your non heme when winter is over. *ducks and hides*
Thank you for caring but meat causes other issues which are not pretty. I never liked meat so I don't miss it and my iron levels are fine. I'm just a summer person:joyfull: I love everything about it warm weather, pretty clothes, not having to worry about how many layers to wear, being able to cook outside, pool time. I could go on for pages about my love of summer:joyfull:

Thank you. I really do enjoy the Christmas set. I added to it over the years, it is fun and festive.

My DD has a collection of Minnie Mugs along with many others, I love her Mine Mine Mine Mug. And I don't care for anyone's schmancy china cups. The wide rims make the coffee get cold quickly and the handles the size of a nickel? Yep, give me a Minnie Cup too!!!
Every time I'm in EPCOT I go and look at the beautiful fancy schmancy tea cups in the tea shop. I usually make at least 2 or 3 trips through (one on our last day to get a few Cadbury bars) any way first time through I think I'm finally going to get myself one with pink roses but hold off knowing I'll be back and wind up debating with myself if lavender might be a better choice, 2nd time through same thing and by my last visit I realize that's too much money for something that will never get used and wouldn't hold much if any sentimental value. My Figment cups have always been a good deal:inlove:

True, he was a teenager having issues adapting to a big university life (and OSU is huge!) after transferring from a small community college so he became radicalized.
