Trip over.. went to RIO SECRETO. Totally worth it.
Just ouch the photos are 35 USD a piece or 96 for the cd.

Im now on an express hotel in GDL, tomorrow driving back home.

Its still amazing the difference in PRICE and QUALITY of express hotels from the cancun/playa del carmen vs GDL.

Wish us good luck, as tomorrow we drive for 5 hours at most... and hoping that we dont get a lot of traffic.
Good luck

Good morning. It's cold and I wish I could hide under my blankets all day but I couldn't find an uncured ham yesterday so today I'll have to run out and get that:( The upside is the supermarket is near the store that has the last gift I need to get for my older ds and that will be the last gift I have to get this year:). @MinnieM123 you would have been so proud of me yesterday! My dh has been asking for something for a couple of years and it's just kept getting pushed off. It's something for a hobby he's been looking to get into. Well yesterday in our travels I found it at a price that was just too good to pass up and it was at a small family owned place. Win, win:joyfull: Not only was the price beyond excellent the owner threw in a couple of freebies to go with it:joyfull: On a silly note my nails are Christmasy red nails with a hint of sparkle and the ring fingers are white with a hint of silver sparkle and look like snow. That's all the snow I want for winter:D The funny thing is I'm now a trend setter, I had the first appointment and everybody there seemed to get the same thing. Who knew the Beverly Goldberg look was in style:hilarious:

Hope your ride is enjoyable. I don't think you'll hit too much traffic, because it's Sunday. (I would assume the roads are less busy on Sunday.) It's been fun following along with your adventures!!

That's wonderful that he finally found his hobby item, and at a small business--with a few freebie items thrown in by the business owner!! WIN WIN!!! :joyfull:

I went to a small, local crafts fair yesterday morning for a while. A local woman makes photographic cards and they're beautiful, so I bought some of those. Another woman was selling her own homemade cranberry/orange chutney in glass jars. So I bought one a jar of that, too. It's relaxing and fun to go to local craft fairs and talk with the people about what they make and sell. Really got me in the Christmas spirit.

(Oh, I cooked some turkey last night with potatoes and green beans. I was going to have the cranberry chutney to go along with it, but of course, I forgot--it's still in the frig unopened!! Duhhh . . . )

Last time we were in Playa we went to Rio Secreto too. It was pretty amazing. We did pay the high price for the picture cd, and I'm glad that we have them. I have used some of the pictures to show my students when we talk about cave systems. I think the price was about $10 lower when we went, but I can't remember.

Have a safe trip home!

Maybe you can have it with your leftovers?

So glad we just got rain, and what little snow we got melted right away. :)
No rain here - it never got above freezing... I winterized the barn yesterday, but I wasn't cold enough inside to plug in the heat tracing for the water pipes. I like to plug it in so it turns on when I have some time to be in there to check it out for problems. A few years ago we had critters chew through the insulation and there were bare wires. Needless to say that scared the heck out of me - barn fires are horrific. There was one posted on Facebook yesterday; 9 fire departments responded, but the barn was a total loss.

Yikes, be careful with your barn. We usually have a couple barn fires around here in the winter too, it is always a shame.

Gettin' ready to head out in about an hour to DWifey's mothers side of the family traditional family Thanksgiving/reunion.
Held at a VFW hall out in the middle of nowhere. Literally. ;)
Should be the usual 160-180 family members there. Another close family. Always good to see and visit with everyone...! :)

Wow I wish I had a camera nearby, I would get up but I have three dogs on me and I don't want to disturb them. But I just looked out the window and the sunrise is amazing. The sky is full of pinks and purples (looks like lavender), and a hint of orange. So pretty.

Sounds beautiful! :)

Sorry, so far behind...are you pup sitting? Who else has joined you, hubs, and Kapono (sp?)?
So cute!

Our Belley Crazy Cakes ;) wasn't feeling well late last night. She threw up a coupla' times. Have no clue what triggered it, but by mornin' she was all stretched out (good grief, she's long all stretched out...!) on our bed between us waggin' her tail, obviously feelin' much better...! :)
