Shopping online definitely has benefits. Yet, I do like to poke around actual stores, though, for some of my shopping, but NOT on Black Friday. No thanks. (Luckily, some stores around here have had some really decent sales already this month, and I've knocked out a number of gifts on my list.)
Toysrus.com and Bathandbodyworks.com are my CyberMonday friends every year.

Just a little rant about things not being made like they used to. I came into an older serger, a basic model and not one of the "top" brands. The only thing wrong with it is it was missing a part but runs like a champ. As of now it can do almost everything and even not being able to do everything it's we'll worth keeping. Even if I couldn't replace the part myself it would be worth having it fixed. Wish today's replacement model was just as good. Rant over
My mom has a Singer from the 60's that weighs a bunch and works like a beast. She nowadays has to keep replacing needles because "they don't make them like they used to" she says.

pics of the day,not many as we did nothing good except relaxing, shopping(not much lol) and enjoying the sea.
We tried new restaurant.. same awful service. I guess all these restaurants just cant get decent waiters.
still, unlike last itme, this time was delicious. my shrimp cocktail was perfect.
and after reheating, my breaded shrimp was very good.

at night I went alone to a restaurant while my mother fought with the hotel. we got 2 cancelations in a row out of no reason. Then we found why.
This weekend is a long vacation weekend, which means all hotels give priority to people staying more than 3 days. so they will literally CANCEL any reservation and dump anyone who isnt profitable for them.
we got dumped by 2 hotels even after RESERVATION CONFIRMATION... and 4 refused us..
I hope we can get our last resort hotel, because everything else was full.

not to mention all hotels went from 50 USD to 150 USD a NIGHT.
aka they wanted us to get the most expensive prices for 3 nights..

anyway, my food was delicious. I got a cocnac creamy filet medallion and I Got my mom some gnochis and tiramisu.
they were delicious..
photos of the tiny restaurant's area.

My husband and I ate at that restaurant too, I recognize the decor. We enjoyed the food and had a nice waiter.

Good morning are you getting snow tomorrow. We were supposed to get a bit but now it looks like it's heading north. I try:D

We Didn't get the snow we were predicted to get either. It was rain and the tiny bit of snow melted right away. A couple flakes here and there this morning. It is super windy though. Hubs put up outside decorations last week and the wind last night ripped apart the angel that was in the tree.

Just out of curiosity... which one of your lives are you planning to enjoying? And in the words of Michael Corleone, "don't insult my intelligence" by saying the Tofu Turkey is enjoyable.

Another question... do egg shells decompose or always remain pieces of egg shells? Also, if they do not decompose how can they possibly be used as compost? If used as compost do they make plants grow with a protective armor type external skin? If they don't decompose wouldn't just smashing them with a hammer and spreading then on the earth work as well as wasting valuable compost space?;):joyfull:

Priceless! At Target and Walmart they use to sign people up right there at the register and people behind were forced to wait as they set up an account. I asked the manager that came over to sign her up if they could move us and open another register. No sorry, it wouldn't take long. I had a lot of stuff on the belt table. I left. Don't do that often though I'd like to since I still have to re-shop for the stuff. I've also left grocery carts behind over the years at check out when they do not have adequate cashiers. It is annoying when you see 3+ employees analyzing the lines and yet wouldn't think of actually jumping in and servicing their customers on a register.

When I was a CM at the Disney Store, all 3 registers were opened and ready to go in the morning before Store opening.
The only times I remember there ever being any major queues was sometimes on the weekends and especially during the holidays, when all 3 registers just couldn't keep up.

I'm a little tired, I did some Christmas baking and housework today. I wanted to have it ready for when my sister comes to pick up her dogs in a few days. It is a switch of dogs, we had her pup while she was in Disney &cruise and she will take hers. Anyway, I made fudges, chocolate vanilla cream candies (we call them napoleon candy), soda cracker candy, and mint kiss cookies. I forgot to take pictures before I packed them into the freezer. I'll try to post some as I eat them come December.

Trip over.. went to RIO SECRETO. Totally worth it.
Just ouch the photos are 35 USD a piece or 96 for the cd.

Im now on an express hotel in GDL, tomorrow driving back home.

Its still amazing the difference in PRICE and QUALITY of express hotels from the cancun/playa del carmen vs GDL.

Wish us good luck, as tomorrow we drive for 5 hours at most... and hoping that we dont get a lot of traffic.
