as an engineer, I always cringe when people eat or drink sticky stuff and then instantly touch the keyboard x_x
nope nope nope!!!

Lets see, at the moment there is Twix, juice, hot tea and skittles on my DD desk (work from home day and I'm at her place) Granted it is her work laptop, keyboard, monitor and not her apple notebook.

Both DD and my notebook/laptop have a one piece keyboard cover. Love these things. Either toss them or wash them, solved so many crummy, sticky, dog furry issues.

On the way home from shopping today I stopped to pick up some Chinese food for supper. It surprised hubby, he was convinced I would come home with Italian as that is my favorite type of food. Anyway I opened my fortune cookie, just for the fortune as I don't like the taste of the actual cookie and I really think this fortune was spot on.....

HAH!, reminds me of my brother's daughter. She insists in watching the same movie again and again and again (the movie is "THE MISSING LYNX" a spanish animated comedy movie).

And I have to put it for her in my big TV.

My kids especially have always sighed when they come in and I'm watching a movie on my BIG TV in the family room and I have close captioning launched. Movies give me the hardest time with background noise with suspense and theme music constantly.

I saw a guy in shorts, sandals and a fleece jacket today, we had about 53 on the thermometer then.
Around here we get the upper half winter and the lower half summer look. It is not uncommon to see people with winter jackets, knit hats and mittens on top with shorts and sandals on the bottom. To be honest I almost went out with shorts and a t-shirt. I was just going to drive to the mall to get my two mile walk in, so I was only going to be outside for about a total of 5 minutes, but, then decided that I would look foolish with just shorts and a T. Turns out with the freaky way everyone was dressed no one would have noticed.

That kind of worries me because the fortune cookie that I got the other day had nothing written on it. Notta! Blank strip of paper! :jawdrop: I'm guessing not enough future left to bother using the ink to put something on it. Bet you will have a good time on the Dream though. :joyfull:

Also this was lunch today. Bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys.

Just went there last Sunday. Didn't have a bacon cheeseburger though. My arteries are probably the size of a pinhole by now so although I do have a strip or two of bacon now and then, I avoid it on things that I like without bacon. Then there is...

^^^^^^ This. Not long ago I bought a pair of pants that are perfect except they were a bit short so I added a nice decorative fabric to the bottom.:) In my case sewing is self defense, I absolutely refuse to pa the highway robbery tailors get

Just curious, and, I think I remember us discussing this here before, but...
The men's clothing store (again, men's probably a different price point) I do those occasional closers at (yes, it's been a while, 'cause he finally found some reliable help and hasn't needed my backup lately :)), used to charge $12 for a hem (both legs ;)) on slacks, $15 for a waist, and $18 for a leg taper.
I honestly can't remember if we all decided that was somewhere in the middle, expensive, or what...? :cyclops:

I wish I had time to pop in Tangled. I may have mentioned this a few times that movie deserved so much better than a potty stop!

I wish I could like this post about a million times. I love Tangled. :inlove:

I really loved Tangled so much more than Frozen, not that I didn't like Frozen it was more in the perfectly fine category for me and so overdone in Marketing.

It is Disappointing that so much theming went into the Tangled Potties instead of an attraction. Equally glad it didn't go into another Princess meet and greet.

In other news, very eventfull day.
My mother had an accident. She confused her eye drops with super glue :| (how did she, I have no idea, as the bottles are completely different). And squeezed quite a bit of glue in her eye.
Good thing I was still awake playing computer when she told me about her issue. Her eye was in VERY BAD SHAPE.
She was very stubborn and had to push her to call her doc (really why they do this? ) The doc recommended her some liquid drops to slowly let the glue drop.So I went for the medicine.. kinda annoying as one of the pharmacies closed their doors on my nose as they were closed down. Had to drive way farther....Anyway the drops Didnt work very well, my mother told me she was hurting and that she wanted to go the doc later on. She called the doc again and told me we had to wait a few (the doc was going to do surgeries at 5:00 am, so he told us to be at 4:00 in the hospital)
So we did, we drove almost all the way to the city and waited.
The doc had to use some pliers and some eye surgery tools to remove. Turns out she had some glue crystals floating around AND the glue in her eyelids were irritating her eyes even more.
So he removed them and gave different kinds of drops.
THEN I had to again be awake for english class XD
Suffice to say, I only ate and dove to my bed and just woke up 30 minutes ago :O

My mother is doing a bit better, still embarrased and angry. As she shad to pay the doc.. and we are driving this monday to go to our family vacations (first time its possible since 15 years ago, aka me, my brother, my sister and mom going somewhere).

Will post lots of photos when I return as usual.

I'd pay that for my good, quality clothing. Stuff I wear in the middle price range I'm searching for the proper length. I know I can get pants at both Nordstroms and Macy's pretty cheap and sometimes free.

Dear Lord! I don't think I've ever heard of anything like this before!
I don't really even know what to say beyond that, other than I hope her eye issues are all resolved 100% ASAP and y'all are all able to enjoy your family trip.
Big time prayers, especially to her, and all of y'all.

believe it or not...
The doctor (eye specialist) says its very common for elderly people to confuse their eye drops.
He said he sees at least 1 similar case once a month.

In other news, anyone seen the video of the new World of Color for christmas?
The wizards in winters segment is insane!
