Yep, I have taken bread to the office in a ziplock bag before. Still had lunch meat in the fridge, but, no bread. Always save and reuse those, as there was just bread in them. :)

Yah, that's what I was thinking--bread is o.k. Some other items--not so much.

Nope not happening. If bread can go moldy in a plastic bag so can the left behind bread crumbs. :depressed:

My friend uses bags from bread and newspaper to pick up after her Pup on walks. That to me is a better reuse.

Ha!!! LOVE your response to the branch manager!!! I had a similar experience at Kohls one day--a very young floor manager was behind the cash register clerk, (the clerk was asking me the usual questions). When I said I still didn't want the store credit card (even with the 15% discount), the young floor manager CHALLENGED me to answer her -- she said, "WHY don't you want 15% extra off your purchase?" I told her, "One more question from you and I'm walking out of this store now." She shut up.

One thing to try and offer and another to tick off a customer to the point where they might never come back.

I'm thinking there are only a few parent companies of hotels left. Marriott just gobbled up a fleet again this past month.

Anywho...are you talking the Doubletree on National Parkway? It is only about a 5 minute drive to Woodfield if that is the one. It is one of the older hotels in that area but from outside seems to be well maintained. It sits in a corporate business area vs the retail area but still very close, I pass it when I've gone to the Department of Motor Vehicles-Illinois which is down at the end of the street.

I only mentioned the Hampton Inn since it sits on the outer edge of the property of Woodfield and is now just opening so it is brand spank'n new. There are a plethora of these value/free breakfast places around Woodfield as the Schaumburg convention center is just down the road.

It is the one on National Parkway, Hilton was running deals and I ended up getting it for $78 for the night and then tax. I really considered the Hampton Inn but that was more expensive. I want to say it was about $130, and even though it includes breakfast we will probably want to have a good hearty breakfast somewhere as my sister-in-law isn't a great cook. It was tempting since it is brand new though. We wanted to do a Hilton hotel, that will top off our points for the year.

I think that's fascinating how the conversation turned around, once you told them about the earnings potential. I just had a pair of wool lined pants shortened at the tailor, and it was $20. While I was in the shop, I could see that he had racks of clothing that people had dropped off. I think my tailor does very well for himself.

I know, they didn't it think it was manly one minute and then they were competing on how well each of them could sew. The only thing I have had tailored recently was my wedding dress and that is almost 12 years ago now, but she charged me a hefty (although reasonable) fee. I couldn't have done it myself, so that made it reasonable.

Good morning but where in the heck is this year going? I've already qualified for the free Thanksgiving turkey, have plans to bake and freeze stuffing bread this week, cranberries are in all the stores. I'm not ready for winter!
I dont know you but considering all drama, violence, accidents and weird stuff of this year.. I'm sort of thankful its over and hope for gods sake that 2017 is better x_X

Yes, it is a very good steak house. I have had the surf & turf but not on Thanksgiving since the sides have so many extraordinary things to offer. I only eat in moderation so even when I am stuffing myself in moderation there is only so much I can cram in the tummy.
how do you "stuff" yourself in moderation?
you either go full or we dont call it "stuffing" ;)

You forgot two more:

"Do you have a charge account with us?" (Me: No.)
"Well if you open an account you can save an additional 15% today " (Me: No, I really DO NOT want one.)

"At the end of the receipt, you'll see a link to an online survey, and you can share your shopping experience with us today." (Me: No. Bye)
Dont forget the "points and discount" cards for additional stuff.
aka:
"Do you have an store card or point card with us?" NO
"Would you like to open? you just need to give us all your personal information and your soul for 5% additional discounts!"
