Clearly I have never been seated in "winter".
I don't think I realized that the tabletops would all be differently themed. Stands to reason, though.
It's Seasons. There are four seating sections. Tables are probably themed in each section, wait for it, seasonally! ;)

Where we were sitting was off to the side near Living with the Land, so you may have just never sat over there because it's not where most sit, but we sat there because of table availability.

View attachment 79701 my table top in spring.

You know what I think is going on? The Land used to be a peacefui oasis (before Soarin was added). I probably would have noticed table top details back then, as I was mesmerized the the beauty of that pavilion, looking up at the hot air balloons gently moving, the fountain in the middle of the room, etc.

But now, the place is just mobbed and noisy, with so many extra people who come for Soarin; and it's a battle just to find an empty seat somewhere. So all the subtleties (such as the design on the table tops now), are
lost on me . . .

Crowds calmed down at the parade, as expected. Still in MK. My mom went back to the room. My dad and brother are in line for Astro Orbitor, the one ride that makes me incredibly motion sick. I am parked on a bench with a Poweraid and some jelly beans.

Didn't eat in the ballroom at BOG; got assigned to the music box room. Normaly, I prefer the ballroom, but the music box room was so quiet and did not have a lot of people. It was a nice break. Dinner was leisurely; took about 2 hours. We even got dessert. By the time we got back out, waits were more reasonable.

Story of the night: there were two boys behind me on Space Mountian, I guess about 13 or 14. So obnoxious the entire ride, and even before the ride. The lights were partially on thanks to a PeopleMover breakdown, so they were yelling about it the entire time, using non family language. I wanted to turn around and tell both of them to knock it off, but didn't. Especially wanted to when they started chanting, "We want a refund!" Well, we got off, and they complain to the CM, a CP kid, about the lights being on. "That's not my fault," she says. Then, they ask for a refund. "Yeah, that's above my paygrade," she told them. :joyfull: I thanked her for telling them off. I'm sure she was not supposed to do that, nor would she get away with saying that to an adult, but it made them shut up, so she made other guests happy. I'm beginning to understand some of the complaints about teenagers...not that I ever would have acted that way when I was their age.

Oh, and some pics...

Weather was absolutely gorgeous today. 70s and sunny. I didn't care about not getting much done; I just soaked it up!

What a great story! I can't stand rude, self-entitled people who think the world revolves around their needs only. The comment by the CM cracked me up! :joyfull: (I'm also glad her supervisor wasn't around.) Anyway, glad to hear that you're just soaking up the weather and atmosphere down there. Sounds like you're having a wonderful vacation. That was also interesting about the music box room at BOG. I've never been in BOG, but I've heard that the different rooms are gorgeous.

Post of the day! :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: (Just an fyi: I never see poutine in my area. We are deprived here . . . :()

It was delicious! Every once in a great while I will make poutine for us at home, on New Year's Eve I made some. I get seasoned fries (like Arby's fries) and since we live in Wisconsin cheese curds are plentiful, and I make a beef gravy with some red wine and it is so good and easy to make. I can't make it too often though.
