Congrats Cubbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had stayed up to watch the game but I have way too much stuff to get done today before my dh gets home. Some how, and I have no clue how my dh has a 3 1/2 day weekend. He going to pick up my serger part on his way home to save on gas. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! One less errand to run this week. Not to mention I'll have a bit of time to look at sewing patterns. There's going to be a big pattern sale next week and I have a coupon for 20% off my total purchase including sale items:) I don't need many but there are a few I want

You bet. I actually had a conversation the other day with a student about fast pass changes and magic bands.

Oh no I have to go to the fabric store twice within the week. I just found a 25% off coupon good for everything in the store including sale items and it expires before the pattern sale starts. Isn't that horrible. I'll just have to drag myself out twice:D At least I'll get everything else I need before Christmas and may just get myself something while I'm out:D

Hubby was pretty excited this morning. I went to bed at the rain delay so I didn't know the outcome. Although at one point maybe about 3:30 am I woke and thought " well I didn't hear hubby yell so maybe the Cubs lost" and I went back to sleep. Turns out when they won hubby grabbed a pillow to muffle his shouts of joy the ran out to his car to continue shouts of joy and phone calls so he wouldn't wake me up. :)

Sorry about your loss @MOXOMUMD i think both teams did a great job and played with a lot of heart, just the way it should be.

There are times when I wish I had that gene that would allow me to become an absolute fool when a sports team or individual wins something. I cannot even get that excited if I personally am the one to win. Then there are other times when it is just more fun to watch others and shake my head in wonderment. Can't understand it and, at my age, probably never will. I've watched my SIL throw things, break golf clubs, scream at the TV, get thrown out of the park at his son's games for yelling at the refs. Simply, in my mind, act like a fool. Don't understand it at all.

You obviously just don't get it or are not a sports fan. And your post is coming across like Mr. ajrwdwgirl acted like a fool. Not cool dude.

I just can't get my head around anyone getting that excited over rounders ;)
Not like it's NASCAR or similar :D
'Cause you're not American. And it's not rounders.

But considering the last time that the Cubs won a World Series was in 1908, that's a reason to get excited. That was before my Orioles were even in Baltimore. Or my grandparents were born. Or my great grandparents were born. :cyclops:

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

I think it's more down to not being overly interested in any sports that don't involve an engine.

I agree it's a great achievement for them and one heck of a streak to break. so in honor of that i say

"GO SPORTS"

The Florida welcome center is more fun in the day too because of the free orange juice, it tastes really good there. I was so disappointed the last time we drove to Florida, we stopped at the welcome center about 15 minutes after the orange juice area close.
When we drove from Ind. to Florida, that was always my favorite place to have the free orange juice. I also loved the shops with the touristy stuff. The only thing I bought, was a big conch shell. But it was fun looking through all the merchandise.
