Kapono wouldn't leave me alone when I got back today. She howled when I left, I think she remembered it was doughnut Saturday. She got super excited when I was putting on my shoes to leave and she ran for her leash. It was the same pair of shoes i wore to work yesterday and she could have cared less but today. I really think she can keep track of the days of the week.
Our dogs knew when it was time for the school bus to stop. They both waited for dd. Then they went back to the window, for hubby's time to arrive from work. When he traveled, they didn't wait for him to come home. Dogs have an uncanny sense of "family".

On the way home from shopping today I stopped to pick up some Chinese food for supper. It surprised hubby, he was convinced I would come home with Italian as that is my favorite type of food. Anyway I opened my fortune cookie, just for the fortune as I don't like the taste of the actual cookie and I really think this fortune was spot on.....

We will be on the Dream in November!
Serendipity! I love when that happens!

I can't stand trying on clothes in a store, because as you said, every manufacturer sizes things differently. You'd think that if you are supposed to be a certain size (by measurements), then everything in "that" size would fit?! Nope . . . And as for the length of slacks, don't even get me started on that one. All slacks (unless they're capris) I have to shorten. With men's slacks, for example, those come in specific lengths--why can't they do that with women's slacks, instead of making them long enough for giants--while the rest of us have to take ours to a tailor to get shortened?!
I like your thoughts, a bizillion times! I hate clothing shopping. When I find something that fits, I try one of every pants in my size, the exact same pants. Some fit and some don't. But when they do fit, I get all I can in the same size. People probably think I never change my pants!:D

Isn't that funny about animals with FUR on them??!! You'd think they'd be plenty warm in the winter. But our last dog used to plunk herself on TOP of the floor heater (it's an older house, and the heat comes from a grate in each room, at the floor level). She looked so content, and often went to sleep there. If I needed the room, I'd kick her out, as I needed some heat, too, on the coldest winter days! :p
Oh, no....not you @MinnieM123. You love the cold.;););)

I learned how to sew in high school, and at one time owned a sewing machine. Being the mom of two boys, however, I didn't use it much after they were toddlers. When I wanted to get back to using my machine, it didn't work anymore. Now in my older years, my husband has offered to buy me a new sewing machine, but I have more than enough hobbies, and unfinished projects to occupy my time and money.
Right there with you! I gave my machine to dd. Then, she sold it in a garage sale.

They know a lot more than we give them credit for. On Tuesday and Saturday mornings, hubs cooks bacon. He said that Jack knows when it's Bacon Tuesday, and Bacon Saturday. He said that on the other mornings, Jack eventually wanders in the kitchen when he has a cereal, or toast for breakfast. But on Bacon Tuesday or Saturday mornings, Jack follows him into the kitchen and sits in front of the stove . . . waiting . . . drooling . . . for his slice of bacon! :hilarious:
Wiggles, our last dog was like that. She also liked eggs too!

I think that was a nice gesture on your part and a very expensive one too. The matriarchs/patriarchs of families know the family dynamics when dealing with Adult Children and their families. Consideration needs to be given if the siblings and their families all get along. Is it for a few hours everyone plays nice or will an extended amount of time cause friction? Do the family members enjoy family reunion type vacations or being so told this is how you will use your vacation time this year like it or not.

I've done it with both sides of our family. The last trip to Disney at Christmas/NYE my Dad kept throwing a monkey wrench into everything. He was never allowed to return to Disney with us though my Mom did several times thereafter. My Dad believing he was the Patriarch of the family in a split second would command we were not going to do that, we are going back to resort and upsetting us and kids. It just didn't work. Traveling with my Mom, Sis etc. did for a few days upto a week. Last time we started at Uni without them met up at Disney and then we stayed after they left.

My MIL on the other hand the Commander in Chief. Master manipulator and guilt. She was going to pay 'some' of the expenses to a reunion to Colorado but putting us in one large condo with his other two brothers and their families. We would have to drive too. We planned vacation time for Disney. TOLD no you've been there a lot. We opted out of Colorado and then were told if we didn't go to Colorado nobody could go then, everyone's Colorado vacation balanced in our decision. We went to Disney. I'm a big fan of being asked not told. Or at the very least, this is what I'd like to do....what do you guys think?
Absolutely, ask first. We did that when, dd and hubby came to Disney with us. Now, they look forward to it as much as we do. It's even better, now that we do our own thing. Daughter and grandsons like to spend the evenings in the park. Son in law, likes to watch T.V. or movies at night. We get our extra sleep! That way, it works really good.

I made it through last night, it was rough but we held each other together. At least i got to the sewing machine store on the way and ordered the part for the serger. I also got everything for the sewing goody basket my ds puts together for Christmas every year. I'm going to stop at the farm market before heading to her mass this morning. Coolers are in the car so everything stays at the right temperature during the day.
I'm sorry, did I miss something, or forget something. I hope you are doing better.

I think I may have mentioned this before but my neighbor wears Dianne Gillman jeans and swears by them. They always look nice on her and seem to last forever, come in petite, regular and tall and most styles in several colors. She orders them on line, you just type in your waist and hip measurement and pick a length. Now if they could only make them in my size:mad: Laugh if you will but the ones that seem to fit me the best are Faded Glory at Walmart and for shorts it's Cherokee at Target:hilarious:
I need old ladies pants, now that my butt is smaller than my gut! Maybe I will start wearing pants backwards!;););)
