Colored casts? Wow! That would really cheer her up. I'm glad they have selections for kids now. I really hope she isn't in pain or anything. I feel bad for her.

Okay, I'm caught up , now. We had to come home early. A fire, 3 miles south of the kids, house, moving toward them. (I knew this heat, would cause trouble). We are in a drought, at the moment. Houses 1/2 mile south of them are being evacuated. We smell the smoke and see the smoke from our house. We are about 8 miles away. I have to say, it's time for another "rain dance". This time I want to target Colorado...we need it!

My in-laws live out in Colorado. My mother-in-law always worries about fires out there.

What ever looks nice. I hope to be able to get some tomatoes but seeing we had a light frost maybe not. I know cabbages and cauliflowers and kale will be good and hopefully winter squashes and a pumpkin will also be good. I also need some honey

We have office parties it seems like if someone sneezes. Ok, so not that bad but it's like an office party of treats all the time. One of my coworkers who used to work there said she has lost 15 pounds since leaving,

Definitively. the good thing is that almost all the zones are full of small boutique hotels.
My brother fell in love, its cheap.. great access to countless good cheap restaurants.. access to tour bases by walking and many other things.

We have always stayed in all-inclusive resort. Usually we get really good packages in the winter and it makes for an easy vacation. But we do like to get out. Of the resorts and see something of the area. The last time we went to Playa we had dinner at a restaurant in town, it was really good I can't remember the name although I might have it written down.

It would be too much to get her down a few stairs off my deck and loaded into the truck, drive into town for T or T, and then get her loaded back into the truck and up the deck steps. The doc said absolutely to not put weight on it. Better safe than sorry.

When we stopped trick or treating. My parents had a big Halloween party, we all dressed in costumes . Played Halloween games, at the end of the party we got big treat bags. It was way more fun than trick-or-treating! We were all young adults, but it was a lot of fun.

Hmmm....when I was much younger I was skiing down a run in CO and I got cut off by someone that had zero business being on a run of that difficulty. I swerved to avoid colliding and then there was this freak'n tree so I swerved again to go down a smaller hill that wound up not being a smaller side hill but a small cliff. Much different. And over I went. Messed up a knee a bit.

So if things are going to burn in CO, can that one single tree burn?

I gave my grand to a piano store. Had it since childhood when it unexpected wound up on my doorstep by movers right after we bought this house. The only time I miss it is when I am really angry or stressed. I could blow off a great deal of steam playing some strong, pounding pieces.

As far as your hands mine have taken a beating yearly with the cold and stuff doing what I do. I've tried just about everything and then found a winner. It at times can slightly make your hand spotty pink for a few minutes but it isn't greasy ever and completely absorb. Runs about $5 a container which usually lasts about an entire winter. Little goes a long way. Use it on feet too. I've been able to buy it at Walgreens, Target, Walmart and several grocery stores.

Yes, but I can't stop. We never get this kind of weather in Oct. and now first week of November.

Thanks, the fire is out. They were fighting it with several fire departments, two tanker trucks, dropping water from helicopter's. It would be a desperate situation, if it got out of control. Two many homes, all packed together. The home in the picture, was not the daughter's. But, close.

But...
Oh, how I wish I could take credit for the design of that beautiful church, but, it was designed and built (completed in 1921) long before even my parents were a glint in my grandparents eyes...!
But, I'm also sooo very proud that we were hired as the project architects for the restoration.
That church has a special place in my heart, and you can bet we ensured that all was spec'd and restored properly...!!!
