Since Christmas break started on Dec. 18 until yesterday, they've only been in school for 4 days total. Two last week and two this week. No school today or Monday.

Last night we actually went to sleep shortly after seven so I woke up for about twenty minutes before deciding I didn't need to be up and went back to sleep.

Wow. The only problem with that is now the school year will extend well into June for her.

Meanwhile, I hope she's enjoying the time off. I absolutely loved snow days as a kid. :joyfull: :joyfull: I've often thought that when the schools are shut down, businesses should also close. (I wish I was a kid again . . . does being in my second childhood count? o_O )

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I took your comment under advisement, and ran it past my consultant, Jack. He, as a dog, and I, as his human, both respectfully disagree. It is quiet now, and we're enjoying our time here, while I drink coffee and play merrily on the computer, and he plays with one of his (many) toys that he dragged up here. We are both quite content and think you should give early mornings another try!!
Tried it. Don't like it. Pass.
10 more mins and I can go back to bed!

speaking of random stuff.

Remember my rant about the bots/thiefs commenting non stop on my sales in ebay and the mexican ebay equivalent? (aka some guys trying to defraud me)

I have been playing along with this one just to get information of them.

Interestingly, they all have the same writing style (clearly a programmed bot), but they keep changing the mailing address of where to ship the goods.
This time its a ghetto in Illinois (semi vacant lot full of what seems low income mobile homes and apartments)

The hilarity is: This guy is clearly from the US and should speak english. Yet insists in "speaking" broken spanish by using google translate.

So I suspect its a band to defraud mercadolibre's vendors(Mexico's ebay equivalent).
Since the products will be moved elsewhere and the money will never be deposited... they have no possibility to complain or accuse the defrauders of a crime .

Anyway, I'm going to try to bait him to throw his ID with photo.

I don't really know anything about ebay, but is there any way to report a thief to the ebay web administrators (I think that's what you call them), so that others won't be victimized as well?

Man am I upset... I only got 7 out of 16 correct. Now they won't let me live there. Darn and I was so looking forward to freezing to death, eh!

You did better than me, and better than @donaldtoo . I just took the test now, and got 4 right. The results said I FAILED; geesh, that sounds a bit harsh, eh? (The reality is, I think i "guessed" on every single question, at that! :D)

I just thought of something....

**I'm not sure how Disney is making a live action Jungle Book with a bear, tiger and other animals. Seems kind of stupid when all the animals have to be animated.
**Bobby Iger received $45 million last year. What do you do with that?
**Do you think Cinderella will be like the fairy tale by the Grimm Bros? Though certain parts will be like the Saw movies which I've only seen the trailers. (I'm kidding btw, Disney won't do that)

That's true and thank you for pointing that out. I think sometimes I get into a single mindset--I hear about different prices, and tend not to think it through. (Minnie World isn't always right . . . surprising, I know . . .)

Ha! In the last year I heard so many cost of living comparisons as my DD applied for jobs around the country. Where these positions were available at lower and higher wages she would pull up a conversion calculator that took into account taxes, housing, food.....to compare to wages here and the cost of living.

Not having to worry too much about taxes up until this point, I was oblivious to this tax for a long time

When I found out, I think my face was like that bear's.

Yes, when you're done with school and out on your own, you'll pay much closer attention to such idiotic things, 'cause they'll hit you right where it counts.
Have I mentioned that I think ALL politicians are fly larvae...?

Love.
Cold or not, I'm in!

It was to be only open until MLK day but they just extended 'till sometime in March. Polar Peak attraction is part of Frozemont, sponsored believe it or not by Disney on Ice.

I'm not accustomed to Disney Sponsoring...more Disney begging for sponsors. And in true fashion the admission was $20 an hour and on the hour. So arriving at 5:10pm you pay $20 for 50 minutes.

You still have me beat when you take into consideration that I was married to a Canadian for 29 years. I guess I wasn't interested in listening to what was going on in the Great White North. ;) If I had I might have made it to 43 years at this point. :grumpy:

Ha! I passed ... and I've only been married to a Canadian for 21 years.
You, Sir, are full of excuses.

Just look at how well I did on YOUR test.
