and in something completely different.
I expect to have some epic explosive diarreha a la World War 3.. why? I ate way too much Indian curry.

It was delicious :hungry: but I suspect I will pay my deeds pretty soon.. :hungover:

If I dont survive.. give my regards to the hat. :hilarious:

Since Christmas break started on Dec. 18 until yesterday, they've only been in school for 4 days total. Two last week and two this week. No school today or Monday.

Last night we actually went to sleep shortly after seven so I woke up for about twenty minutes before deciding I didn't need to be up and went back to sleep.

Boy like a bad re-run of last winter. Our kids missed 2 of 5 days last week because of the extreme cold, most were off 3 days. Ours went back Friday.

That happens to me too when I go to sleep early, well rested in the middle of the night and if I don't fall back asleep I feel awful at the proper wake up time.

Our sales tax is 13% - 5% Federal, 8% Provincial. Applied to all Goods & Services.
Bet you're glad you didn't pass that Citizenship Test, eh?!

Yeah, it is blurred here as all states, counties and many cities do things differently, FEDS are the FEDS they get us all. Florida doesn't have a state income tax but Illinois being in bad shape raised theirs dramatically. Cook county, where my folks are in the Chicago suburbs and including Chicago raised their income tax big time. The fuel taxes are over the top high. Even my little Hamlet added a addition tax on all Utilities, cell phones and an entertainment tax. One town added a take out tax on take out food ontop of all the rest of taxes on foods. Since we do not have entertainment in our little town the council decided the definition of entertainment is any type of restaurant food or any beverages ordered in a restaurant. That is all ontop of the existing sales tax.

Yep, same here. I wouldn't wanna' be a kid these days.
We'd disappear into the NoCal foothills on our bikes for the entire day on a weekend, or during the summer.
Mom and pop knew we'd be back in time for dinner.
We did tons of stuff with our folks, but, we were also allowed to go find our own stuff to do. :)

I had to be home when the street lights turned on.

Parents went to have a nice quiet dinner themselves at Yachtsman. Originally, we weren't going to get down here until this evening because my parents didn't want my brother to miss school. They had a half day today and flights ended up being so much cheaper that we flew out this morning instead. So my brother and I got an ADR at Scifi. I had the pasta with chicken, marinara, and parmesian cheese. It was good. The best part, however, was this:

Sadly, it is now deceased. :D

I think the waitress at SciFi thought I was my brother's mother because when we got the check, she said something about hand this to Mom. I haven't decided how I feel about that....

Fairly successful day, except for breakdown problems. RnRC broke down while we were in line. A nice CM issued us reentry passes that we can use for the rest of the trip since we had been unable to use the DAS time. Went on TofT twice; the second time one shaft broke down, increasing the wait time (yes, you all warned me about those elevators...) TSM once (I won. It's always a battle between me and my mother on that, but I was victorious today), and Star Tours once with my parents, twice without them.

Parents are still at dinner. We are back at the room chilling for a few, but will head to Epcot for EMH in a few. Just needed more coats, less bags.

Hope you all are having a great day and that it's not too cold...

Maryland wins.

Look up Rain Tax.

Next governor is getting rid of a lot of the taxes, including that one.

Oh Dear, there are politicians as stupid as those in Illinois elsewhere. I often wonder what scrambles politicians brains once they are elected to office. I have a non payed elected position. I could care less if I was not re-elected to the position that in reality costs me money to hold. But I love it, Rain tax. Oy.

I go back on the 25th. My parents and brother go back on the 26th. I have classes on the 26th, so I have a late flight back and my aunt will pick me up from the airport.

Great! That is a nice long enough trip at a slower time. Your college must be very similar to my DS first college he attended. They didn't go back until the end of January either. They had an odd J term from early January through the third week of January. Students could take a class or an overseas trip with credit.
