So nice to hear from you!! My goodness, you've been busy--no rest for the weary?! Good luck with all that you're presently juggling. As the expression goes, "when it rains, it pours" but then the sun comes out afterwards. :cat:
When all of this is over, I'm going to DL/WDW. I keep telling myself that over and over and over and over...and hopefully this time there will be no deaths in the family while I'm gone or right after I get back. :banghead:

That church was pretty, it seemed a little light and bright inside. I like old churches, it seems like people back in the day put a lot of thought and care into their design and included so many details and beautiful artwork. I'm kind of a sucker for pretty stained glass too.

Yes, those buildings encompass some of the most amazing architecture and art ever created.

This is the church in my mothers hometown. About 15 years ago myself and one of the partners at the firm worked together on a major restiration. My mother was, and still is, so proud...! :)

Hello all,

Thought I would give an update as I have not been around a few days. I'm still behind on homework from when I had a migraine, but I'm getting caught up. I got a test out of the way today, which is what I was most worried about, and I got a 93 on it, which is good considering I didn't make it through the study guide. Basically, I'm behind in one class, which shouldn't be that hard to catch up in. And now I've got an ear infection. Went to the doctor last night (thank goodness I go to an office where there is someone there in the evenings) and I'm on antibiotics. Lovely. So I'm worn out, but at least it no longer feels like I've got a knife in my ear.

As far as work goes, in order to finish my hours and have it count for internship credit, I have to work all day this Friday, Monday morning, and all day next Friday. Once I have my paperwork done, I'm giving two weeks notice, but only agreeing to come in for two more Fridays. After that, I'm out. I'm hoping, however, that they just tell me to not worry about working any more days. At least there's an end in sight.

Now that we're done with the bad news, let's go with the good news. I had a phone interview today with a company located just 15 minutes from home that went very well. I'm guessing I will have NO trouble finding a job for after I graduate, and if nothing else, I'm networking for now, which is really important. I had that mastery class where I had to sing a piece for an instructor, and it went very well, which felt good. I do not have to work tomorrow, so I have two classes right in a row, so I go to class 12 pm-3:15 and that is the extent of my day. I did not quit my tutoring job, and I'm putting on more tutoring hours. Paid slightly less than what I'm making now, but far more convenient and far less of a headache.

So, that's that. For now. Hopefully I should be back a bit more than I have been.

Sorry to read about the ear infection, I've had my fair share and they stink. Hopefully you'll get caught up soon. And fantastic news about the job prospects. It is nice to graduate and have a job lined up.

The must have had the same blueprint for the interior of churches a while back. The church that I went to as a child was designed exactly the same on the inside as that one. I have been in others over the years that were almost exactly the same. Must have saved on engineering. Last year I saw a lot of them in Europe but on a much larger scale.

Yes, the vast majority of them are of a classic cruciform footprint, although the size, details, and materials, obviously, vary greatly inside and out. I love it...! :)

I know the feeling. It will be 2 or 3 years before we get back:( So far I've recreated a few of our favorite Disney meals and watched a few Disney movies . Hanging out here helps a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!! This weekend is a Potter marathon on Freeform. We're also starting to plan a few short trips for next summer. DC, Hershey/Lancaster Pa and a wine tour. None of them are Disney but all fun and much cheaper!

Yep, as you know we've done plenty of short non-Disney trips. NOLA for youngest DD's 21st b-day, San Antonio for our 27th wedding anni. and other trips there, the Texas coast, Texas Hill Country wine tours, etc.
We LUVS us some Disney, but, there's plenty of fun and good times to be had elsewhere...! :)
