Good luck on your relaxation day. I hope it's going great for you! Everyone needs a day off!
Thank you I did enjoy it and never did get to watch a movie. No worries because I had a nice relaxing bath and got the coat I'm working on altered. Yea all the hard sewing is done, I still have to make the collar and lining but it fits so the rest will be easy. Time consuming but fun.:)

Hubby, and I have been taking a morning walk, since the weather is still pretty nice. Not until 10 A.M. though, it was in the mid 40's earlier. Fall in the morning....spring in the afternoon. Typical weather, for this time of year. No walk yesterday, I've started having migraines again. Maybe, it's due to lack of tequila! lol
I'm sorry about your headaches. Yup either lack of tequila or Disney.

I went to the eye surgeon today. Basically, I have two different problems. One, is cataracts on both eyes. Right now, the cataracts are not noticeable to me at all. However, I am going by how I see with my glasses on. I have worn glasses since the age of 7. The doctors always ask me if my vision is blurry, and I tell them no. However, when I read their eye charts during a vision test I often respond to their questions as the letters are blurry.

My second issue is I have a macular pucker. Actually this condition also is present in both eyes, but worse in the right eye. The doctor seems much more concerned about monitoring the cataracts than the pucker. Surgery for the pucker would not be done, until and unless I have cataract surgery.

So for now, they are monitoring both conditions, and my next appointment is in 6 months. I guess we all have issues when we get old.
Look on the bright side at least it's not serious enough to require immediate attention. I hope you get lucky and neither progresses any farther.

So glad you have a pet to play with. I have a friend about a mile from me, I stop when riding my bike if the pup is outside to pet her. She sees me coming lays down and goes belly up. Fills the void.
I know your pain and my boys are trying to fix mine. Last night they got a job dog sitting for 2 weeks next month. They promised me they would take care of the dog and I won't have to help out at all. I don't think it will go the way they promise it will but I will enjoy having a happy furry friend around for awhile.

Hello. Just wondering if anyone in the chit chat forum has been to or lives near 1000 Islands in New York/Canada area?

Edited: I am looking to go on vacation in that area next year and was wandering what a good time of year would be to go?
Yes I'm about an hour from the Canadian border , depending on what you want to do , we get a lot of snow for snowmobiling , lol , (figmentfan423) summer probably bet time , fall is the prettiest , spring the less buggy ,mosquito , etc

Belle usually ends up gently scratching our bedroom door somewhere between 5:30-6:00a. And, at some point, the "feed me" whining/barking starts up, and Ranger Shows up and joins in..

Ha ha ha!! I love how Belle is the instigator and Ranger follows the lead!! :hilarious: :hilarious: I can't even imagine the chaos with two dogs. We have one and he's a handful, as you know. ;)

(When hubs was in his late teens, he moved away from home and roomed with 5 other guys in a house. They had 4 dogs--a Great Pyrenees, two German Shepherds, and an Irish Setter. He said those dogs were always playing and running around the house after one another. Add to that, 5 single guys, parties, etc., and it was truly Animal House!! :p Thank goodness I didn't meet him until many years beyond that "stage" of his life!!) :D

The area I live in was all farms and gradually homes were built in about 1/3 of town. The area zoned residential is now full and no room for any type of development. Many of the smaller ranches are being torn down for McMansions that don't fit the area. So many 100 year old homes many of which still have their barns in yards, so tall. Most have been converted to garages with lofts or inlaw, office space.

What is it about McMansions??!! I've also seen areas (not as overall rural as yours) where there might be the only farmland left in a location--and a developer comes in and demolishes the house, barn, etc., and builds these huge, ostentatious "houses"--that have no character or charm like the older, farm houses. Can't stand it. (I'm not so much against McMansions if they're in an area designated for that type of housing. My complaint is when they eliminate lovely countryside scenery, and plunk one of these houses in the middle of it.) End of rant.

It does help with our no pet household. Niko , the dog next door does the same thing. And he is a big Rotweiller! Funny , watching that big boy roll over on his back, like a two pound puppy.

I hope your next report is still the same...monitoring...always good to hear that!
