not sure if I posted this.. but...

I dont know why I forgotto put the context of this video.
This man had rescued the kitty.
Infact the kitty was seconds from dying, buried in the Ice near his home.
The man saved the kitty by giving heat and pumping his heart near the man's fireplace.
Now she's pretty much inseparable of the man and worried quite a bit when the man broke his leg (to the point of almost never leaving him alone).

TRIP REPORT UPDATE! Day 8
Labadee, Haiti
This day was one of the laziest, we expected nothing much of this day.

We woke up fairly late when the ship was already almost tucking itself on the dock.
Labadee itself is not a "private island" like they want to claim, Its pretty much a tiny extension of Haiti blocked by Mountains and with a nearby village that "feeds" the workers and employees of the Royal Caribbean exclusive beach zone.

Labadee has a few beaches, the main one facing the sea (very clean water, but with lots of rocks and the Zip Line hovering almost on top of you), 2 small "cove" like beaches, one of them private for high level RCCL members. And 1 medium sized with the most calm seas (Columbus Cove).
Each area has its own bar zones, a bbq restaurant/buffet, bikes offering specialty drinks, bathrooms and in some cases, musicians.

Also, there are a few areas where you will "pass" thru a market full of Haitians trying to sell their wares.

Almost everything costs extra in this island. Only free thing is obviously the food, which is included on the fare.
But any attraction will cost money. Good thing the beaches are free. Just remember that theres gentlemens who will "move the chairs and beach beds" for a very pushy tip. The gentlemen we got service wasn't very pushy but he obviously expected. So plan ahead.
Forgot to mention that when you go down, there will be an officer with a towel kart so you can pick up and register your towels to use in the beach. You can also buy towels in the stores nearby.

Anyway, as soon you land we enjoyed some entertainment by some Caribbean style musicians.
There was also a ferry right by the dock that sent you straight to Columbus cove (top right in the above photo)

By the time we left the Oasis, the ferry had departed and we didnt want to wait 30 minutes, so we decided to walk from the dock to the main "plaza".

I can easily say the place is really pretty.

Once inside the plaza, we were a bit lost. We forgot the "map" that was in our navigator and we couldnt find a new one. The "Information" building was actually kinda hidden right in the right after you enter the Labadee zone (after passing the first bar and security zone).

There were some trails to walk here and there, as well as a tram service that moved you trough all the different beaches. (there were 3 tram routes as far I remember)

The first thing we did, was head to the left, where the main BBQ building was (right on this photo, left from the plaza). Where you could see the zip line ending place and the main beach 2 beaches.

The private beach for RCCL members and The Cabanas.

Note the coaster and the zipline area on the top of the picture..

Sadly, I couldn't go further to get a better picture. As the trail was locked down for "maintenance" with some wooden doors.
A shame, because there was a sitting area by the rocks. No surprise if they had weddings in that area.

Then, the next part was the are where you register for the Zipline (you need to sign papers, the classic "I accept this is dangerous"). Same for the "rollercoaster". Ironically.. my mother and I planned to go the rollercoaster at first. But after walking so much in Puerto Rico and Sint Maarten.. we decided to just relax.

The "downtown". Bar on the right, musicians on the right, small fountain in the center and on the far away area.. the BBQ main joint for the beach #1.

So we took a Tram towards Columbus cove, The first tram us left right by the mountain side, next to the main store and the start of the "Market and Artist village".
We decided to walk as there was no other tram in sight.
This is where it gets a bit annoyed.. the vendors are VERY PUSHY.
kQ7B57t.jpg

note the shirt colors, blue = security, yellow and red = vendors.

And I had to literally drag my mother to dont fall for cheap tricks (example, they will put things in your hand and then after a few seconds, claim that you purchased them and you had to pay assap. Specially with kids).
Anyway we continued our way (the village is not that big, around the size of 1 and half medium sized disney world attraction.) but goes towards a small hill then down.

Once out of the village, it was a small shore finding a good spot.
The beach was getting filled and this is where you instantly feel the cheer number of 5,000+ visitors that populate the Oasis of the Seas.
We found a great spot very close to the BBQ area., the bathrooms and a bar. There were some other musicians as well. So it was a perfect spot.
The sea was calm like a water in a cold teapot.

Columbus Cove and the Waterpark area:

We signaled an old Haitian man for 2 chairs, and tipped him.
He set them up in a nice spot near a tree. So we had nice view and nice shade.

It was amazing that how in an hour, the place got really packed with people. Particularly in the BBQ area.

And then it starts something I always get annoyed and frustrated.. the BBQ supposedly was to start from 11 to 3pm in the paper.
Well by 1:30 pm they had ran almost of all food. NOT AMUSED.
Imagine savoring the BBQ ribs and then get in line.. just to find that a lot of people were complaining because there were no more BBQ ribs!!!
What the hell. Nevermind that they said they couldn't resupply or get more food.

Anyway, got back with some chicken, corn and buffet fruit and ate right by the beach.

Then after 30 minutes decided to take a plunge. The water was definitively perfect. Not so gold, not so hot, almost zero rocks (only found 2 very big flat ones) in the area. but yeah, lots of people!!

by 4:00 we decided to return and not brace for the huge line of people waiting to go up to the Ship.

So we decided to line up for the tram. And while we waited we witnessed a very angry black woman arguing with one of the vendors
She was screaming and the vendor was dismissing her and acting like nothing happened.
Its clear something had happened because after the angry discussion. A nearby "police" of Labadee (aka security officer) was scolding the vendor VERY HARD and I managed to get some stuff like "This is how you are going to ruin us" or something like that. Seems like the Vendor was extremely overpushy and even ended badhandling(as in touching or pushing the woman.) Who knows.. but then other vendors were now scolding the culprit vendor as well.
Ironical part is the angry women didn't want to have anything to do with the vendors. Yet others were also trying to get her to buy stuff.. unbelievable!.

Anyway, We took the train and dropped down on the first tram stop. Where we passed to the main store and bought some mementos. Including one tshirt forme and the classic magnets.
My mother bought more things for my brother and sister and onwards we went to the ship via the tram.

The food problem was clearly apparent, because there were also people not so amused by the bigger BBQ joint in the second beach. So I guess they either had no enough BBQ ribs or they turned bad, or some morons wobbled them up in the first hours.. who knows..

Upon returning to the "downtown" labadee.. mother decided he wanted to try some of the specialty drinks. She purchased one of these labadeen (not sure if thats the correct name) and she really liked it. After that, we lined up for security to get scanned and then we went back to the Ship. This time the process was quite fast. And I almost forgot to return the towel! D:

After that, we showered and decided to take a nap. As there wasn't much else to do on this day... just some comedians, a repeat of the other shows, more repeated dreamworks characters and more casino pushing (another thing that annoyed me.. RCCL doesn't stop messaging you via the TV "important messages" to "encourage" you to put money in the casino.. and on paper invitations)

Notes of the Trip:
I guess that after this. Im not so fond of going towards a RCCL future trip lol.
RCCL really seems to favour the "casino" and "shopping" crowd. I think im going to either try Norwegian or Holland America line (as my boss recommends) or just simply go back to Disney Cruise Line.
The only thing that really made me love the RCCL Oasis series, is their impressive entertainment shows on the main theaters.

Anyway... Tomorrow is going to be the last day for the Oasis (Sea Day). Which will have some photos and some videos, not so much as we did repeat on some shows we loved...
Then some of the last "tour" in and woes we had while in Fort Lauderdale. ( I swear that town hates us lol)

Hello everyone we made it to Disney, the flight landed early...we had quite a tail wind. We checked in, and our room wasn't ready, so we got an upgrade to Congress Park. We walked to Disney Springs, from there just a few steps to the bridge. I took a couple pics, at the Christmas Store....here they are. Going to Epcot tomorrow. Going to try food.

True but even last year there wasn't enough Disney. I wish Mickey and Minnie could be in every scene and they should bring out Figment seeing they are in EPCOT. I really don't like the Chew. Which is weird because I like Clinton Kelly but the show doesn't seem like a good fit for him.

I agree. (Last year, I saw 1 of these shows from EPCOT--but wasn't it during Flower & Garden, though?--and it was like there were only "references" made to the characters and parks.) I also like Clinton Kelly, but don't believe this show is best to highlight his talent.

That was one of the cutest videos--I really enjoyed watching it the other day. And now that you've given us the backstory on this, it's even more sweet. What a lovely story.

@Cesar R M , your updated TR was a nice little escape for me, as usual. The scenery was so pretty. I don't know anything about cruise lines as I've never been on one, but I found it interesting that you would choose another cruise line over RCCL, due to the push by management for the casino and shopping crowd. That would get on my nerves, too. I know that a number of the Chit Chatters here have been on cruises, and they might have some good tips for future cruises for you.
