The new Christmas projection and fireworks show for Hollywood Studios sounds pretty cool. It is nice that they are doing something now that the Osbornes are gone. Since we only have 2 days before our cruise I decided to bite the bullet and book the dessert party. I hope the treats are as good as they were at the Star Wars party, and I think I read this one has beer too!

Hopeful for your sake (and everyone else who is there) that it is that good. Loved (ok, more than that...LOVED) the Star Wars party. We were there one of the very first nights of the old party (before the projections, just the Galactic something fireworks) and the food was awesome.

True but even last year there wasn't enough Disney. I wish Mickey and Minnie could be in every scene and they should bring out Figment seeing they are in EPCOT. I really don't like the Chew. Which is weird because I like Clinton Kelly but the show doesn't seem like a good fit for him.

My observation over the years is Disney has deliberately dialed down the 'family' in F&W. What F&W has evolved into for better or worse depending on who you ask is a more adult demographic. If Disney wanted to I don't know how they could return the fest to what it once was. If they start dragging characters into F&W on TV to commercialize it for families and children there are likely to be even more upset families that do not realize what F&W really is. I use to take my kids, if I had kids now I would not likely take them. As a family now of 21+ we still enjoy F&W but it is a different fest than what I first experienced 20 years ago when my kids were small.

Excellent work! We drove to Disneyland last summer. Yup. Drove cross country and north through California and back. Disneyland was a great visit, but definitely not 'the World.' By the time we get there in July, it will have been 1.5 years which is a VERY long time for us to be away. Already planning...
I like Land and World for different reasons. World is more "Experiential" whereas Land is more jumping from ride to ride. Both parks blow any WDW park out of the water. I know a lot of people like World better because there's Epcot, but Epcot is my least favorite World park, so it doesn't bother me that Land doesn't have it.

We bought DL APs when we went in June, so I wanted to use it again before it expires. My friend and I went to WDW three years ago, so we're excited to go to DL. We're especially looking forward to DTD since we're of legal age.:joyfull:

I suppose most people have my attitude towards F&W..."Forget the food, just the wine...":geek:

I do not disagree.

Same goes for what was once a flower and garden show and it is a very pretty, spring food and wine now.
Dessert parties, many have wine and beer attached. I'm not saying it is wrong, different and less and less appropriate for small kids.

Hello everyone we made it to Disney, the flight landed early...we had quite a tail wind. We checked in, and our room wasn't ready, so we got an upgrade to Congress Park. We walked to Disney Springs, from there just a few steps to the bridge. I took a couple pics, at the Christmas Store....here they are. Going to Epcot tomorrow. Going to try food.

We did the Star Wars dessert party this past summer too, and thought the food was good. We liked it better than the Wishes dessert party. The Star Wars one had more than just sweet items and I really liked that and we are hoping this one will too.
