That's normally what I do, but there have been a few times at the grocery store near school where the only open register with a human was the express line and I had more than 15 items, or there haven't been any lines with humans open.

Unless I have an item or two and the regular lines are super crowded, I prefer the regular line. A lot faster, I don't have to argue with a machine, and I kind of just want someone to bag my groceries for me. They do it so much better, and I'm kind of lazy...:joyfull:
I like to pack my own groceries so cheese never winds up in the pantry again. As much as I hate those stupid scanners that never work, I don't trust the boys to sort the groceries that they have to put away. I buy the food and I cook the food, the least they can do is put it away. it might just be easier to put the groceries on the table and let them go at it:cautious:

Just curious, has anyone been watching "The Chew" this week? They are showing the episodes the show recorded last week at Epcot for Food and Wine. I am not a regular watcher of this show, it is okay but some of the hosts are a little annoying. But anyway, I'm finding these shows pretty disappointing they aren't really showing much of WDW or Food and Wine Festival. In fact it seems to me like they are just doing stuff they would normally do in their studio. It's like why go on location if you aren't going to show much of the location?! I was just wondering else was watching and was as disappointed as I was.
Last year I DVR'd them and said meh so this year I passed. If they had gotten really good reviews I would have watched them on, on demand.

Oh, that's too bad. I love hummus!! :hungry: And, keep in mind that it may be the way it was prepared--it's like everything else--there's good hummus and then there's not so tasty hummus. :cautious: At our grocery store, we have about 3 brands of hummus and I definitely like one much better than the other two they sell. I've also had homemade hummus from a nice lady at work, who grew up in Lebanon. It's her grandmother's recipe, and it was delicious.

That's a weekday, "daytime" show so I rarely see it, because I'm at work. However, I have seen a it a few times when I was on vacation.

Needless to say, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think the show is a dud. It's like they're all trying too hard or something--the banter is banal and overdone. And from what you said, it sounds more like the show is using F&W as more of a background prop. I'd love to know what kind of deal WDW struck with them to broadcast there. If it's to promote the park and festival, it doesn't sound like WDW is getting much for it's buck.

I dvr'd it and I do agree the hosts always seem to be trying too hard. It is nice to see Spacship Earth in the background, but there needs to be more Disney!

I'm not a big fan of Chew either. They are attempting to be actors and fail miserably at it. I found most food shows like this have gone that way and it just gets old quickly. Too many are scripted strangely.

But as far as the fail this year at F&W I give them a PASS. The show as scheduled had to be moved up and shot quickly because the Hurricane decided to aim at Florida instead of up towards New Jersey. The Epcot F&W segments which are kinda shot and spliced into the episodes (much like the Christmas Parade) for the most part didn't happen. Ultimately the whole show got a quick rework, shot days early, packed up all the equipment and got out of Dodge.

True but even last year there wasn't enough Disney. I wish Mickey and Minnie could be in every scene and they should bring out Figment seeing they are in EPCOT. I really don't like the Chew. Which is weird because I like Clinton Kelly but the show doesn't seem like a good fit for him.
