Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
I was thinking about this as well..
Reminds me of all these people who "hate living today, and would love to go back to the XXX date".
Then get very angry when you show them that the time they wanted.. wasn't as happy and fun as they made it sound (specially for minorities).
Coconut, soy or almond yogurt the have live cultures would do the same thing. I like coconut and James likes the soy, the other 2 don't care one way or another. Which reminds me put in a batch of yogurt today:)

Thanks. Didn't know that

I bought a calculator at Walgreens for $7.00 a few weeks ago. I like it. It adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides.
Yeah, I kind of need mine to do Time Value of Money and Standard Deviation...:joyfull: My phone works for multiplying and dividing. It also does time value of money, but sadly, this professor won't let us use it on tests. Previous Finance professor did. This one's a bit smarter.:hilarious:

Hey @Cesar R M : Wondering if you have any ideas on this: my Surface keeps going into hibernation mode if I leave it along for more than 30 minutes. I've checked the power settings; it shouldn't automatically hibernate unless it's on battery for more than 240 minutes, and it's not supposed to automatically hibernate when it's plugged in at all. Any ideas? It only started doing this since the anniversary update.

Our old car is exactly the same color! Good choice. It's really good at hiding dust and dings. We have plenty!

Yep, that color works well here too, as most of our soil is lighter colored.
Take a black vehicle and a white vehicle with the same amount of grime on them, and the black vehicle looks way dirtier.
About a month ago, right after youngest DD was hired at the same school oldest DD also teaches at, she traded in her gold GMC Sierra pickup for a gold Chevy Traverse.

Yea, that tickled me a little as well. :hilarious:

Yep, I'm betting even more than me...! :D ;)
I understand @Cesar R M has been through a lot, and 12-hour days are draining (remember, I worked many 12-hour days those 4 years I was in retail, and that was in my mid-late 40's), but, from my perspective anyway, early-mid 30's isn't even remotely close to old in this day and age. :cyclops:

My grandma and grandpa, had a weenie roast on the fourth of July, homemade ice cream ( we each, got a turn to spend some time churning the ice cream, boy it was good!.... Grandma saved spoons from DQ, when they had really bright primary colors, with the cone on top. We got to pick our color for ice cream, I could never decide between bright red, or bright blue. Decisions....decisions....

Yep, I too remember churning the home made ice cream on the front porches of both sets of grandparents farmhouses...sooo good...!!! :hungry:
No electric churns either, all hand-cranked...! :)

It was really bad, and there are so many questions about what happened. I watched some of the news conference today with Chris Christie and Gov. Cuomo (one of the people in our office had the news conf. on the computer, and a bunch of us gathered around).

Aside of the injured, I feel awful for all those people--thousands of them--who will have a nightmare commute with no trains. Thank goodness that at least the PATH is still running, as that will help alleviate some of the commuting congestion. But most of the commuter rail passengers will have to make their way to buses, which will be absolutely horrendous, because you know there's no way they can come up with enough buses for all those people.
The weird part is how this happened twice. I remember reading that it had happened a few ago. Similar issue.

Also it doesnt help that they said the government somehow pushed the installation of more safeguards until 2018 from the 2016 deadline.

This exact government behavior reminds me exactly what happened in fukushina in Japan. Where reactors 1 and 2 were supposed to be offline (and ready to be decommissioned and dismantled months BEFORE the quake) and reactors 5 and 6 doing its job. (reactors 1 and 3 fussed in the accident if I remember correctly and were of the first gen of commercial nuclear reactors made in the 60's).
Yet, they gave "extensions" again and again to the company (some say bribing was at hand)
Technology that has been going since its first iteration caused part of the chain reaction of events.

My TI 83 Plus calculator that I've had since seventh grade finally died. This was me...

At least Best Buy had the 84 Plus on sale for $30 cheaper than my school's store was charging.

I still find ironic how many companies over here, claim they are "helping the student" to have what they need.. yeah.. at a price hike compared to other stores.. so much for "helping".

You need to configure the other energy states in the Power settings.

Microsoft by default as 2 states for laptops.. unplugged and plugged.
They are separated option wise.
You will need to wade deep into the Energy and Power settings to change for each state.

For example, use "Max performance" mode to disable any kind of sleep mode or himbernation (good if your computer is constantly busy rendering or doing stuff).

Windows might have other names too.. like "Balanced", "Power Saver". You can change these power plan settings anytime.
