Ours goes to the Saturday before Christmas. (There's a big barn building so it's indoors then.) From Thanksgiving on it turns to mostly baked goods, holiday crafts and Christmas trees.

My mom just bought a bushel of beets to can. Every Christmas she makes pickled beets, bread and butter pickles, zucchini bread, pumpkin muffins and cinnamon applesauce as gifts.
beets were just coming in this week another 2 weeks and I'll be able to get them by the bushel:). Maybe I should get some extra and pickle them and ship some to @Mr Ferret 88 :D

I can't post this picture so I'll link to article to Orlando Sentinal. This is the same patch that the huge pumpkin blew down on the toll plaza when we were down there. They pulled busses up to block view and for a while closed down the Epcot Monorail to keep from view. What a mess.

road rage? or lost total control? I mean.. who would suddenly go into the rail protection and drive long enough to then hit the support beams? o_O

Hmpf. I don't get that. There are forms and everything to document the hearing loss. I guess that is where different countries handle thing differently. My DD deals with a chunk of international students and she gets such a chuckle out of the way they wish to prove english proficiency. She has become a master at telling over the phone when they are reading from things like google translate.
Nope, went again yesterday. They do not have the resources nor the paperwork nor the access to obtain the deaf one. Im going to take the standard test.

I'm actually going to look this morning to see if my Target carries those! (Keep in mind, regional distribution--my area may or may not carry the same item.)

The seasonal marshmallows were in the Halloween section with the foods you can prepare for the holiday vs the Halloween candy, in our Target anyhow.

Yea! First pot of soup is done! Now on to cake making:)

I so admire your determination with all things cooking, baking and sewing. :) Also how you get those boys to pitch in. Still, at 7am if I was smelling soup brewing I'd be gagging. There are a few things I make in a crock pot that I start up as I go off to bed. I put the crock pot in the laundryroom and close the door. I love the smell of coffee in the morning. :inlove:

No name for your camera? My friend in Australia has a big expensive camera that she calls Hagrid. (she's an HP fan)
nope. No name. my camera as much I love it and how it has helped me.. as always been a tool.
I actually find weird to name things. The only exception is of course.. Boats or Planes.
Very rare to see people giving names to their cars, let alone appliances.

Wow...I didn't figure that a car would be enough to knock over such a structure but ok.
I'm pretty sure that these metal structures are hollow to keep light and resistant. But as soon something dents them enough, they will fall down HARD.

One wonders how this happens
The description of the crash is pretty suspicious.. how someone can "drive normally after hitting a guardrail then plow into a very thigh metal pole?
Did the driver lose consciousness? had a moment of crazyness? his brakes didn't work? had an attack of some sort? or just outright suicidal?

At least it's a better situation than this one from a couple weeks ago

It's either they pitch in or they go hungry next week. I bought a bushel of peppers and one of green beans that needed to be chopped, vacced and frozen. The worst thing i ever did to them was making them help me chop onions to be frozen. On the way home from Disney a few years ago we took the van and found vidallias for about 25 cents a pound.(That's the reason I don't like to take my dh food shopping. He sees a deal and is worse than me as to the quantity that comes home.) At least they had safety goggles to wear. I wish my dh realized how much prep work goes into such things

Someone staring at or taking a pic with their phone.
or wanted to move to the side to take phot of the WDW announcement, tried to get into the green and lost control (tires do not work on grass) and ended impacting the only thing in the center of the green area.. the structure of the road sign.

Some people just don't drive well in that ongested area, why I like Disney transportation. But I can understand the crash into the guard rail and the car continuing for several more feet before being haulted by pole. I liken the guard rail to that pole your race car hits on the Speedway at the Magic Kingdom. Once out of control it takes a few to right the ship...car. He could have been cut off too. Glad he was OK, just a youngin, 20 years old.

Tell hubby that if HE buys it, HE'S the one who gets to prep it. See how much he chooses to buy next time.
