Here is the famous Unisphere, symbol of the 1964 World's Fair and promoting the fair's theme of "Peace Through Understanding"

This is the New York State Pavilion. It has been mostly abandoned since the 1970s and is closed to the public

This patch of grass may not look like much, but by using an old map I was able to find out that this was the site of the GE Pavilion and Carousel of Progress during the World's Fair.
Except for a few obvious remnants, there are almost zero things left in the park that indicate that a world's fair ever took place here. Nonetheless, the weather was beautiful today, so I enjoyed walking around the park.
