Rant: I despise the first few weeks of September. Traffic on roads triples; my buses are late, I miss the trains, and I was late for work yesterday. Have to get on an even earlier bus now. At work, I had to deal with a new conference registration program, but of course, nothing was working. Why? Because the idiots that forced the system down our throats didn't take into effect that 85% of the computers (hospital-wide) are not upgraded, so the dandy new reservation system doesn't work for the average user. (After wasting a few hours on this and losing my mind, I had to call an IT buddy of mine. He put through the group of 240 reservations via his computer, which has all the bells and whistles, because he's an IT guy.)

Then, management is always harping on budget and not to order any extra, expensive supplies, except on an "as needed" basis. So our color printer goes on the fritz, due to a part needed, and the boss has a hissy fit because we don't have one in our stock. I explained that the IT people told us (a few years ago) to not order an extra one (the part is over $300), because the part only gets replaced about every 3 years. They weren't sure how long the actual printer might last. We didn't want to (potentially) get stuck with a part that might never be used, if the printer croaked. So the stupid part is now needed, and the boss conveniently forgets that all they do is ram down our throats, to NOT spend money -- unless it affects them, I guess . . .  :banghead: :banghead: End of rant.

I agree, too. @ajrwdwgirl , it's not that your boss wouldn't believe your flight situation, but I don't think it would hurt to show him/her your original confirmation of flight, and then the email from Delta showing that your flight moved up earlier. Your "proof" would be right there with the original booking dates and all--and I really doubt that with those documents in hand, your supervisor wouldn't agree to let you out a bit early that day.

I was going to show him the email and confirmation if he wanted to see. Good suggestion though.

That sounds frustrating. Hopefully today goes better.:)

I wonder if Lochte will be the first to go on DWTS?
Depends on if fans want to give him a second chance or if he's hated enough that people won't vote for him.

I don't condone what he did, but the protestors are just thugs. They could be protesting something that actually matters instead of protesting what amount to a celebrity who made a bone headed move participating on a reality show.

I actually wonder, does Delta have policies regarding cancellation or change of flights fees based on THEIR forced flight changes?

I wonder if lotche is forced to go into that show because he lost almost all his sponsors thanks to the olympics snafu.

Mine is the Trouble with Tribbles

Which then led to the classic Star Trek Deep Space Nine/Star Trek The Original Series crossover episode The Trouble with Tribbles (although the DS9 episode is actually called Trials and Tribblelations).

They're like Space Gremlins...!!! :hilarious: ;)

Are you doing the 4 park in one day challenge? Or just 2 left to visit for your trip?

We did it on the last day of our June of '13 trip.
We had actually planned on only doing 3 (AK, Epcot, and DHS), but, at one point in the afternoon DWifey remembered we had yet to stop at Casey's for a hot dog on that trip. So, instead of hopping from Epcot to DHS, we detoured to MK for a bit, then hopped to DHS to finish our last Park day...! :)
