5 minutes before Illuminations. Take your pick of spots. We chose France for a quick get away to the MK via Boardwalk. Boat was waiting for us.

Just finished Epcot heading to MK. We all guests had some strange odd resort issues so we were given many many FPs as an I'm sorry from Disney so we are tacking on MK tonight.

A friend and his family went down there (before and after Labor Day--maybe 6-7 days). He told me that they received about 4 voice messages on their phone during their visit, about various electrical problems, etc. Also, I guess one day the meal plan thing on MMplus was completely down, and the CMs had to write down a list of the people and the number of meal credits. This was so that when the system would come up again (they didn't have a clue when that would be), they could deduct the proper amount of credits. (Also, they stayed at POR Riverside and the ceiling fan was wobbly, and the blades were covered in dust--so they, the family, cleaned them!! :in pain: ) Lastly, I guess there was work going on in the QS at the other location of POR, and they missed the Scat Club with the 2 members of Off Kilter--because a bunch of the seating had been taken away (temporarily) for the QS area, until the renovation was done. So there wasn't nearly enough seating at the Scat Club for larger crowd of people who wanted to go there.

So, not sure what was going on down at WDW at that time; but regardless, he did say they had a good time overall.

The new Star Wars was on last night, and I watched it twice. The movie seems shorter now, somehow.

I bought then new Disney Jungle Book yesterday at Target, and now I need to find time to watch that.

My older son is coming over today because of my birthday being one of the days I was away on vacation. He texted me on my actual birthday, but I am sure today he will arrive with a great birthday card. My oldest is the sentimental one. My younger son loves his mom, but birthdays are not important to him. Text messages work so much better on vacation than phone calls. They always happen at the wrong time, or you cannot hear because of all the crowd noise.

It's so random whether you're supposed to use the chip or not. There are stores that have the chip readers, and then they tell you, "Oh sorry, you have to swipe." :bored: Target and Best Buy seem to be the only two places with consistently working chip readers.

Yea, I don't get it either. The store on the corner, that I mostly go to, recently (about a year ago) upgraded their card system. At first, you could use the chip reader. Several months ago they put a note under the the chip reader... "No chip swipe only".
I know they are charged more by the card companies for a debit swipe than a credit swipe.
Maybe a chip read costs them more than a swipe...?
