My district added minutes on to the start of every school day, so if we get snow days now we don't have to worry about making them up. So it is nice if we have snow days, but despite being in northern Wisconsin we only had one snow day last year (and it was for extreme cold) and one day we had a two hour delay. What state are you in that you have to worry about snow days?
That is a great idea. I am from New York(Not the City). I am from Ithaca. We do get snow here. I teach High School and we start so damn early already I don't know if they would be able to add on minutes to the start of the day.

Our high school starts at 8:05 and the middle schoolers have breakfast from 8:05 to 8:15, but since that is a school breakfast it counts as minutes in the school day. I think the elementary does the same as our middle school. The middle school and high school are connected, we are a small rural school, so that is why I teach 7-9th graders.

You have had more than your share of bad luck. I hope it's better.
well, thank god nothing that cant be recovered.
I just seen my huge credit card bill and paid bits there and here. I will survive I swear!

anyway I think I definitively busted one of the tendons that keeps the rotula (aka kneecap) aligned.
It hurts kinda bad when I stretch my leg completely and pull my knee backwards.
I think I pulled my bag too much sideways and that damaged my ligaments. Well see.. going to tell my doctor and see what goes.

Good grief.
I'm now 94 pages behind on this thread...!
If I can't get ketched up this weekend, I may have to finally abandon the attempt... :cyclops:

In the meantime, diving back in for more ketchup... ;)

psst.....rant

Why do so many adults of my generation (and younger too) have such issues with Millennials? To what end is the need to create a one size fits all negative stereotype for our future leaders? What is it about these particular aging adults that constantly sound off about the Millennials yet cannot differentiate between The Millennials and Generation Z?

I so wanted to post a response to the twit that just was coming down on the Millennials again. Then I realized He was actually a Millennial and was actually spouting off about the Generation Z. :joyfull: *The moment I realized it was likely above his comprehension level* :banghead:

Generation Name, Births Start & Births End-General guidelines
Baby Boomer Generation 1945 1964
Generation X 1961 1981
Generation Y - The Millennial - Gen Next 1975 1995
Generation Z 1995 2015

Our High School and Middle School discontinued Homeroom at least 15 years ago. Added up the minutes of homeroom and additional passing time and deemed it a waste of time each week, month, year when totalled up. Attendance is submitted in Middle School by the end of the 1st period, in High School attendance is taken at the beginning of 2nd period to allow for late buses etc. Announcements in both schools are during the last few minutes of the last period.

I used Homeroom to do homework. Then I had some of the evenings without spending time on doing that. It worked well for me. What do kids now do in homeroom?

Thats something I really hated when I was forced into a "christian summer course" when I was young.
They were all "accept all we say and suck it up, no question" type behavior.
No surprise our cardinals are filthy rich by dumb people not questioning anything.
I attended a new church, won't say denomination, we were told we had to evangelize our neighborhood. I said no way, I'm not a bully, and was told to leave. Not a fan of intolerant people.
