The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

The first 5 years I have worked for this school we started with about 10 days left in The Month of August and got out around June 10th. This year the school district decided to change it. I really don't like it becaus the amount of snow we get we could be going till The beginning of July.

My district added minutes on to the start of every school day, so if we get snow days now we don't have to worry about making them up. So it is nice if we have snow days, but despite being in northern Wisconsin we only had one snow day last year (and it was for extreme cold) and one day we had a two hour delay. What state are you in that you have to worry about snow days?

We went June 17-24. I bet in February the weather is great and the crowds are really low?

All this chit chat about Wine and Beer has made me thirsty. I believe I am going to have a midday glass of wine on my back deck in this 70 degree weather day.

Some of your trip dates overlapped with mine. We were there June 21-July 5. It was pretty hot by the end of our stay but not too bad the first few days.

Enjoy your beverage on your deck in the middle of the day, in a few weeks you won't be able to do that!

Yes, during the day it was hot but in the evening it was pretty comfortable.

Yes, I enjoyed it so much I decided to enjoy another glass.:) I will have a two glass limit though. It is the mid 70's here so it is nice sitting out here even though it is mostly overcast.

Yea, I remember the first time that I had to have a "come to Jesus" talk with a Priest was when I was in second grade. The nun* was teaching about the mystery of the holy trinity. You know Father, Son and Holy Spirit all rolled up in one. She kept emphasizing that it was impossible for us, as humans to understand. I said that I didn't see what was the big deal. You just taught us that God could do anything, so why is it a mystery if he wanted to do that. Seems basic. She didn't know how to respond and called in a Priest to "explain" it to me. He couldn't either so they just eventually changed the subject and went on to other things.

On the morning of my 16th Birthday I was standing at the door of the DMV waiting for it to open to take my driving test. I passed it and then came the twist. I drove to the test with my Mother on my Learners Permit. I took the written test and the road test and passed both easily. Then, at the time, they took away your Permit, however, the License came a few days later in the mail. So, I couldn't drive home. They drove in that point by being adamant about it. No Permit, No License, No Driving. It was the longest 4 days of my life. I don't know why no one had thought about a temporary license, but, they didn't. It bordered on cruel.
Thats something I really hated when I was forced into a "christian summer course" when I was young.
They were all "accept all we say and suck it up, no question" type behavior.
No surprise our cardinals are filthy rich by dumb people not questioning anything.

I actually have a favorite stall at the bathroom in the restrooms that connect Adventureland and Frontierland. It is at the back, usually no one goes back there, and it is right under a vent that pumps out fantastic AC in the heat.
til your butt freezes to the toilet seat ;)
no seriously, good tip. I usually have to hunt hard to find a decent clean bathroom.
MK's bathrooms have been very dirty the times I've been there.
AK are always the cleanest.
