My foot is screaming at me again today. All I did was walk to the store, to get a few things, because my husband is going to cook out later. I guess I will have good and bad days with my foot. Today is a bad one. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. I was there three weeks ago. Is the foot any better? Some days yes. Some days no.

I bought some lamb chops for myself, and the kids can finish up the frozen hamburger patties that we still have in the fridge. It's been a long time since I had a grilled lamb chop. Corn on the cob. Sweet potatoes. Now we just have to wait until the kids get back.

Double edge sword there. It is the ads that make it possible to pay for the site unless everyone went to Premium Memberships.

But did you see owners of websites are having their fill of Ad blockers? Facebook I believe this week BLOCKED Ad Blockers. A sign of things to come.
its not like they can do much, since the adblockers only need to update their filters and they will block the anti adblock routines.
remember, everything you see online in your browser, is "downloaded" to your browser, then processed locally.

Yes, maybe, but that is just wear and tear. There is nothing you are doing that will inherently damage things because of improper operation. When I lived in Vermont, I had two Air Conditioners in the entire house. In the warm weather they never shut off (the compressor, I mean) because the two just couldn't keep up, but, they did cool down the immediate area where they were. I never had a problem and I can think of nothing that would cause it to damage anything. If the temperature is lower then what you have set them for... the compressor will just shut off and only the fan will run. Why would you need to run it at 50 or below anyway. Seems like that would be time to turn on the heat. :):cold:
We put in a lot of insulation, so our house holds a lot of heat. We usually don't turn on the heat until it's in the upper 40's. Yes, it's cold in the morning, but if we have sun, the house heats up quickly with the fireplace.

It's not just one thing. I am having that same problem and it started right after I involuntarily switched over to Windows 10. It happens mostly on this site, but, it seems to be a problem with any discussion forum I go on. Most everything else works just fine. I have tried using Firefox and Chrome and I have problems with both, but, like I said, almost always on Discussion boards.
I am still rejecting Windows 10, it is so full of bugs.

My husband won't eat BLT sandwiches unless I make french fries with them, and I refuse to make the french fries. If he wants fries, he has to go out for those. Too much mess.

Do you actually fry the French fries? I only use the oven to make then, then I only have to throw away the foil I line the cookie sheet with. I also make my bacon on a broiler pan in the oven. It is less messy as the fat drips to the bottom of the pan and I can put it in the oven and go away for about 15 minutes and not have to stand around frying it.

I bought an air fryer for fries. No oil needed got it on QVC. It was a today's special value. Makes no mess. And I cook pot stickers and chicken bites in it. Melted cheese apps. for hubby. I'm slowly learning about this machine and I love it. Trying more things next week. It's new and takes a learning curve, but so far I'm happy.

I'm still on 7.
Don't bother with 8, but if your drivers are available, 10 is actually a solid move.

It does require some minor tweaks to get it running well, but not much.

The only downside is if you utilize any of the Win 7 Media Center features. Those were pretty much cut out of 10. But, otherwise, quite a solid OS.

For disclosure, I have 146 systems I manage, all Win 10 except 4, and those 4 I'm upgrading this week, and have been for about a year now. I'm quite aware of the OS and what it does, and doesn't do well (though there isn't much that it doesn't do well, aside from the annoyances of smartscreen and enhanced firewall, and the fact that for some reason MS seems to think that Edge is an AWESOME pdf viewer, so even after you install adobe reader, you have to go into default programs and assign all the defaults to adobe from time to time...again, though, for most users this isn't an issue, and won't be).

Facebook blocked adblock, and within a few days, adblock defeated facebook's "block" (for the reasons Cesar RM mentioned). It was a waste of programmer time, frankly.
