I'm using Chrome too, I go along, and all of a sudden I can't do anything. Very frustrating for me. Maybe other's like that I'm off!;););)
nah, most probably its wdwmagic. Not the first time the server randomly stops replying on time to the people who are browsing. so the scripts that allow you to post, like, quote.. get delayed or timeout freezing the page.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Knock wood, we have a very very old A/C unit. It is beyond reliable. It is an old green machine like @JenniferS has. So not worth ripping it out for the energy savings vs cost of a new one since we only use it a few months a year and until this past summer, we had so many cool ones we chose not to update.
KeepRite green boxes never die.
You hold on to that thing. My daddy's fingerprints are bound to be on that unit somewhere.

@Cesar R M

How are your doing with your new device? Hearing well?
yes, been playing with the accesories. all of them are wireless now. but they need charging etc..
so far I can listen to the computer or phone via bluetooth without having to deal with cables.

like I said, im having some issues volume wise when on loud areas, but hopefully my doctor will tell me how to mitigate this.

Likely. We have lived here 30+ years and it was old when we got here. We've put less that a couple hundred dollars into it in 30 years. If we replaced it back then we'd like have gone through 2 or 3 units by now.

So happy and excited for you. Hope by the time you hit up WDW again you will have a whole new experience. *happy dance*

most condecorated man in the story of olympics. Something I dont think will be easy to break.

He isn't my favorite human or athlete by any means but I am in awe of his accomplishments.

Obviously not my call (no kidding) but I wished he would have finished his last race before he announced his retirement. It was just odd to announce with a triple tie for Silver.

Carry 2 forms of ID Disney loves to proof people. They'd card izma

I have never been carded at Disney World-ever, even when I was very young. Go Figure. When in college I could drink there like in Illinois at age 19 back then. And when I was 19 I looked like 15. Much like my DD does now. Though she did get carded at the Tune In Lounge

Yes, maybe, but that is just wear and tear. There is nothing you are doing that will inherently damage things because of improper operation. When I lived in Vermont, I had two Air Conditioners in the entire house. In the warm weather they never shut off (the compressor, I mean) because the two just couldn't keep up, but, they did cool down the immediate area where they were. I never had a problem and I can think of nothing that would cause it to damage anything. If the temperature is lower then what you have set them for... the compressor will just shut off and only the fan will run. Why would you need to run it at 50 or below anyway. Seems like that would be time to turn on the heat. :):cold:

Thanks

and I suggested it cause she has asthma and the smoke from the burning my mountains is making breathing at night horrible for her. My thought was A/C at night was better that breathing in that.

My issue doesn't have to do with my laptop or server. It is only having issues when I am on this site.

Many of us had issues with the site about a year ago. My DD said it had something to do with the Ads and my laptop as it didn't have the same issues with my iPhone or my tablet. See if you enjoy your time with the site (I genuinely enjoy my time here.) I opted to go for the Premium Membership that solved my problems with the site, have no regrets. It was $5 a month. Well worth the entertainment for me. Others resolved their issues with the site with the membership, no guarantees obviously but it helped many of us. Others have not had problems while others did, it is strange but so far beyond my computer skills to figure out.

Curious what virus protection are you running?

It's not just one thing. I am having that same problem and it started right after I involuntarily switched over to Windows 10. It happens mostly on this site, but, it seems to be a problem with any discussion forum I go on. Most everything else works just fine. I have tried using Firefox and Chrome and I have problems with both, but, like I said, almost always on Discussion boards

I'm using Chrome too, I go along, and all of a sudden I can't do anything. Very frustrating for me. Maybe other's like that I'm off!;););)

You may want to share your computer difficulties in the Forum Help and Announcements thread as well. That way, Steve will see these and may be able to offer solutions, or other users may also be able to help. He's suggested this in the past when people are having forum computer issues, as he doesn't have time to read all the various forum threads; but if people post in the Forum Help and Announcements thread, he can devote resources to that.

Aside of sharing the above (which will reach a larger forum audience), Cesar RM on Chit Chat here is wonderful and has shared tips with many of us when we're having difficulties.

The problem is that it happens on more then just WDWmagic. It happens on DIS as well, but, it is primarily just those two. I have noticed recently that if I am on a different site (not discussion) and I attempt to look at a referred site within that location it will freeze up instantly. I cannot search for information on legitimate subjects because it stops me cold and I have to close whatever site I am on. Sometimes that will work, but, it doesn't always and is a huge pain in the butt at best.
