Glad you got a deal on the tickets back then. I'm still trying to figure out if you went to the theater's box office on the day of the show, because that's what I did--but no discount, even "day of".

Regarding your other helpful suggestion about recording some of the events while I'm at work, we don't have a DVR, and at this point, don't feel like spending the extra money for that add-on option on Direct TV. We're at war with Direct TV as it is, up here in my area.

Yeah, we bought them directly from the theater, in the early afternoon on the day of the show. We were walking past and did it spur of the moment. The other couple that was with us didn't want to see the show, we were going to buy their tickets for them, instead they went to a bar and hung out while we were at the show.

I understand about the DVR, DirecTV is already high priced but with hubby so often having evening meetings he would miss a lot of the shows he likes to watch so he deems it a necessity. I could probably do without it, but it is handy. And with this political season ramping up, it is very handy to avoid all those ads on tv.

It's a wonderful skill to have. My grandmother used to do all those types of things--crocheting, knitting, etc. She made beautiful items and gave them to all her children and grandchildren. I still have fond memories of her sitting in front of the TV, and knitting or crocheting.

(When I was about 10 years old, she tried to teach me knitting, and I didn't have the patience for it and wanted to scream! :hilarious: I kept knitting and then pulling out all my mistakes--finally decided this was for the birds. ;)) I wouldn't be adverse to trying it again, though, as an adult, but I don't know anyone now who does either knitting or crocheting.

I think that crochet is easier, especially if you are trying to teach yourself. I have had to teach myself a lot of stitches, and there are some great YouTube videos showing how to do the steps. I think knitting is more difficult, it involves two needles after all.

I was thinking about you as I watched the Today show this morning. They said the east coast was in for massive heat and humidity today and I thought gee Minnie is not going to like that at all! So stay cool, hope your AC works!

Just joined the site after getting back from my 36th Anniversary Trip with my Hubby to Disney Vero Beach Resort. Thought I'd join a Disney forum to talk more about Disney since I miss it.

Yesterday, while walking down the sidewalk on a busy side street in the city, I observed an entire family of foreigners (might have been either Japanese or Chinese--couldn't exactly hear what language they were speaking, as I was on the opposite side). They were standing IN the street (at the one moment when there were no cars--but with their backs to any oncoming traffic!!) all staring at their phones, all playing Pokemon Go, with the kids looking up and around toward a building off to the side.)

Sure enough, a truck comes whipping around the corner, and I screamed to them, "Get OUT of the street!!" They all looked startled (I don't know if they understood what I was trying to say to them) and then they heard the loud horn of the truck while he screeched on the brakes . . .

When will this fad move on?! Please . . .
I am one who plays Pokemon Go... But I'm not one of those players. Last week, my family and I played a game as to how many people we could find in MK playing it. Like seriously, the imagineers didn't design everything with such care and precision for you to go around trying to catch em all. I enjoy the game but have learned when to put the phone down and take everything in. I'm glad to say I didn't touch that game or any others during my last trip-like come on. It's Disney! What's there not to enjoy
